Wonderful and very filling hamburgers. This is another childhood favorite of mine. My father used to make these for Employee Appreciation Day for his workers.

PARMESAN BURGERS OR BURGERDOGS
Adapted from a grocery store circular. For a fun twist, you can form these into the shape of a hot dog.

Steps:
- In a large bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients. Add chicken; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into four 1/2-in.-thick oval patties., Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat 4-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 165°. Top burgers with 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce and cheese. Cover and grill 30-60 seconds longer or until cheese is melted., Grill bread, uncovered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat 30-60 seconds on each side or until toasted. Top with remaining spaghetti sauce. Serve burgers on toasted bread. Freeze option: Place patties on a plastic wrap-lined baking sheet; wrap and freeze until firm. Remove from pan and transfer to an airtight freezer container; return to freezer. To use, grill frozen patties as directed, increasing time as necessary for a thermometer to read 165°.

Steps:
- Mix chicken, garlic and Italian seasoning just until blended; shape into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
- Combine bread crumbs and Parmesan in pie plate. Add chicken patties, 1 at a time, turning to evenly coat both sides of each patty.
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add patties; cook 5 to 7 min. on each side or until done (165ºF).
- Top burgers with sauce and provolone; cover. Cook 1 to 2 min. or until provolone is melted. Top with basil. Serve in buns.

CHEESE-STUFFED BURGER DOGS RECIPE BY TASTY

Steps:
- Slice the cheese into sticks (about the size of string cheese).
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper (or your favorite seasoning mix) and split it up into 5-6 palm-sized balls (you may want to do five and keep a bit of excess ground beef for an omelet or a slider the next day).
- Flatten each ball out into a rectangle.
- Place a cheese stick towards the bottom. Roll it up, making sure that the ground beef is evenly concealing the cheese stick.
- Place the soon-to-be burger dogs on a hot grill. Grill for 6-10 minutes, turning the dogs when charred grill marks appear on a side. You'll need to do 3-4 turns (or more) to make sure you have even cooking around each dog.
- Burgers should be done when some cheese starts oozing out along with meat juice.
- Serve on hot dog buns with your favorite burger or hot dog condiments.
- Enjoy!

- Stir bread crumbs, salt, and parmesan together in a bowl.
- In a large bowl, mix together chicken, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, parsley, minced garlic, and parmesan cheese.
- Grab a handful of the chicken mixture and pat it out flat in your palm.
- Place a slice of mozzarella cheese in the middle and fold the chicken over the edges. Make sure the cheese is fully covered on both sides by the chicken mixture.

- Place half the ground beef on a sheet of plastic wrap. Pat it into a rectangular shape, about 1/2 inch thick, 8 1/2 inches long, and 4 inches wide. Season with salt and pepper. Roll the beef into a log, using the plastic wrap as a guide. Season with more salt and pepper. Wrap the plastic tightly around the log and twist both ends tight. Pat gently to slightly flatten. Repeat with remaining ground beef.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate. Remove the burger dogs from the plastic wrap and place on the grill, perpendicular to the grates. Cook until burgers are browned but still pink inside, 4 to 5 minutes, flip, and cook another 2 to 3 minutes. Place a slice of cheese on each burger dog and grill to medium doneness (an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 140 degrees F/60 degrees C). Remove and rest 3 to 4 minutes.
- Toast hot dog buns on the grill and spread each with 2 teaspoons mayonnaise. Place burger dog on each bun and squirt 1 tablespoon of ketchup on top.
