Steps:
- Sift flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix with 1 cup sugar; slowly stir in milk to make batter. Melt butter in 8x8x2-inch pan. Pour batter over melted butter. Do not stir. Mix peaches with remaining 1 cup sugar and carefully spoon over batter. Bake 1 hour at 350°. Serve hot or cold, with cream if desired.

- Preheat oven to 350°. Peel, halve, core, and slice pears. Combine sugar, flour, spices, and sliced pears. Add lemon juice and raspberries. Mix and spoon into 2-quart dish. Topping: Combine flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, baking powder, soda, and salt. Cut butter into small pieces and blend with pastry cutter into flour mixture until coarse meal texture; then add buttermilk. Stir, roll between 2 pieces waxed paper sprayed with Pam. Peel off waxed paper and place over fruit and sprinkle with remaining teaspoon sugar. Bake for 35-45 minutes, till lightly browned.

- Combine the cream cheese, butter, and flour. Divide the dough in half. Chill. Roll out half at a time, approximately 1/4 inch thick. Cut with a small square-shaped, circular-shaped, or diamond-shaped cookie cutter. Place 1/2 teaspoon of jam on each cookie. Bring 2 sides of the cookies up to meet in the middle and crimp. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350° for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on racks. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Yields 2 dozen. Variation: Recipe may be doubled using 8 ounces of cream cheese. Add 3 tablespoons sugar and 1/4 teaspoon salt.

- Drain pineapple, reserving juice; add enough water to drained juice to make 1 cup. Dissolve cornstarch in 1/2 cup juice. Slice bananas evenly into bottom of pie shell; cover with blueberries. Pour pineapple filling over top. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with chopped pecans. Chill thoroughly before serving.
