- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Combine the fresh and dried cranberries in a large bowl. Add 1 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons water and the vanilla and toss to coat. Lightly smash with a potato masher or fork to burst some of the cranberries. Add the pears, cinnamon, allspice and 2 tablespoons flour and toss to coat. Transfer to a 3-quart baking dish.
- Make the topping: Mix the remaining 1 cup flour, the pecans, oats, the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and the salt in a medium bowl, then stir in the melted butter. Use your fingers to pinch the topping into small clumps and sprinkle it over the fruit.
- Bake until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is golden brown, about 40 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.

- Remove puff pastry from the freezer and thaw according to instructions while making and cooling the pear filling.
- In a medium pot, melt 1 Tbsp butter over medium heat. Add diced pears and cook, stirring occasionally until softened (5 min).
- Reduce heat to low and stir in 1/4 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger and salt. Continue to simmer 3 minutes until pears are soft and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- Use a rolling pin to roll the first sheet of thawed pastry to an 11" square. With a pizza cutter, cut into 4 equal-sized squares. Place a ¼ cup cooled pear mixture in center of each square, leaving at least a 1/2" border. Filling is juicy so make sure to not get too much liquid when scooping mixture.

- Cut the pear into small thin slices. In a medium bowl, combine with the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, chopped cranberries, and vanilla extract. Set aside.
- Spoon one-quarter of the pear mixture into each square. Fold each square corner-to-corner so that it forms a triangle. With wet fingertips, pinch the dough together to seal while pressing the edges with the tines of a fork. Place the formed turnovers on the prepared baking sheet.
