PEPPERONI PIZZA BURGERS
Kids usually love anything with the word "pizza" attached to it, so I came up with this top-you-own pizza burger recipe. It adds variety to "pizza night" at our house and even goes over well with us "big kids". -Robin, Kornegay Seffmer, Florida

- Prepare Texas toast according to package directions. Meanwhile, shape beef into 12 thin patties. , Top six patties with 1 tablespoon pizza sauce, three slices of pepperoni, and one slice of mozzarella cheese. Top with remaining patties; press edges firmly to seal., Grill, covered, over medium heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, saute mushrooms in butter. , Top burgers with remaining pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese. Cover and cook 3 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Serve burgers on Texas toast with mushrooms, olives, Parmesan cheese and peppers and olives if desired.

PEPPERONI PIZZA BURGER BOMBA

Steps:
- For the sauce: To a small saucepan over low heat add the oil and garlic and cook until fragrant. Add the tomato paste and seasoning, and mash with the back of a wooden spoon. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 15 minutes, then remove from the heat.
- For the burger: Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Preheat oven to 550 degrees F with pizza stone on the middle rack of the oven.
- Form the meat into four 4-ounce patties and sprinkle both sides with salt and pepper. Grill until medium, then remove from the heat and place on a paper-towel-lined plate.
- Divide the pizza dough into four 4-ounce balls. Press out each ball on a floured pizza peel to about a 5-inch round. Top each with a slice of scamorza, a couple slices of pepperoni, then 1 burger patty and 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce. Fold the dough over the burger as if making a large dumpling. Brush with olive oil. Bake on the pizza stone in the oven until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Serve with extra tomato sauce on the side to dip.
SUPREME PIZZA BURGERS

- Combine the ground beef, Italian sausage and Italian seasoning in a bowl. Knead the mixture together and form it into four large/thick patties.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the burgers on one side for several minutes, then turn the burgers. Lay 2 slices of provolone on each patty, followed by 4 slices of pepperoni. Add a couple of thin slices of red onion, a slice of green bell pepper and a pile of black olives. Spoon a little marinara sauce on top, then lay another slice of cheese on top of all the fillings.
- Place the lid on the skillet and allow the burgers to cook all the way through while the cheese melts and the pepperoni warms.
- Split the rolls and toast them in butter in a skillet until nice and golden and crisp. Spread both halves with more marinara sauce and sprinkle the sauce with Parmesan.
- Lay the patties on the bottom buns, then top with the top buns. Serve immediately; hearty appetites are recommended!
PIZZA BURGERS II
Open faced burgers with two kinds of meat and cheese in a tomato sauce. Wonderful recipe for birthday parties, football parties. You can also store meat mixture in the freezer for a later date! My whole family loves them. Very easy to make!

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until evenly browned, stirring to crumble. Drain fat, and set aside.
- Process the luncheon meat, cheese and onion in a food processor or run through a grinder until finely chopped. Transfer to a large bowl. Stir in the browned beef, tomato soup, tomato paste, garlic salt, and oregano until well blended. Spread a couple of spoonfuls of the meat mixture onto each bun half, and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until the meat is hot and the bun is crisp.

- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, rosemary, and thyme.
- In a ramekin, spread two-thirds of the beef patty evenly along the bottom and sides.
- Place the red onions, two-third of shredded mozzarella, and one pepperoni into the well.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Place the rest of beef patty on top and pat to flatten.
- Place the remaining mozzarella and three pepperonis on top.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Assemble the burger with the sesame bun.
- Enjoy!
2BLEU'S PEPPERONI PIZZA BURGERS
Pizza burgers lack many things, among them, pepperoni! Here is our version which we feel is totally 'Pizza'! Try it with our recipe #255242 which is packed with pizza flavor and requires no cooking! Suggested from a friend: Instead of patting burgers with a spatula, on a TV cooking show the chef placed an indent in the middle of the raw patty with their thumb. As the burgers cook the indent recedes and the burger keeps its shape. Haven't tried it yet but will let you know if it works. Apparently a good way to check the doneness too.

- To a food processor, add the sliced pepperoni. Mix until most of the pepperoni is ground up, pulsing as you go. Add the ground beef and sausage. Form meat into 4 patties.
- To a large skillet over medium/med-high heat, melt the butter and olive oil until butter is melted. If using mushrooms, saute them until done, 1-2 minutes. Remove with slotted spoon and set aside.
- Add the patties to the pan and cook 4-5 minutes per side until cooked thru. Pat the burgers down with the spatula as needed to retain a wide burger (enough to cover the bun).
- When burgers are just about done, place mushrooms on burgers (if using), then 1 slice each of the cheeses on top of each burger. Reduce heat to low (or turn burner off if electric oven), cover tightly and let steam until cheese is melted (1-2 minutes).
- Place burgers on top of bottom bun then spread warmed pizza sauce over top of melted cheese. Close up buns and enjoy.
