PORTUGUESE SANGRIA

This sangria, with a base of sturdy Portuguese red wine, has enough heft to accompany complex dishes like arroz gordo from Macau or a big party-size paella. You can temper it by adding 12 ounces of sparkling water to the ingredients after they've been combined.

This is a delicious red wine-based sangria that a Portuguese bartender shared with my sweetheart and me. We love it for Cinco de Mayo, on hot summer nights and in the dead of winter too. Cheers!

PORTUGUESE SANGRIA BLANCO

I'm not a wine drinker, but I do enjoy sangria in the summer! This is a nice, light and refreshing white wine version and a great patio drink; be sure to serve some of the drunken little fruits with each glass! Prep time includes "sitting time" of sangria.
