This is an easy to make recipe, and it tastes great!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar and baking powder. Make a well in the center and pour in the eggs, oil, orange juice and vanilla. Mix well and pour into prepared pans.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.

QUEEN CAKE (A 2 OR 3 EGG YELLOW CAKE)
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare 2 8- or 9-inch cake pans. Beat Spry, salt and vanilla at med speed till creamed. Add eggs one at a time, blending in at low speed. Sift flour and baking powder together thre times. Add, alternating, 1/3 flour and 1/2 milk at low speed till all are completely combined. Beat at high speed two minutes. Pour batter eully into prepared pans and bake 25 min, or until toothpick or knife inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool 10 min in the pans. Turn out of the pans and let cool. Frost with dark chocolate frosting, or "7-minute" white icing coated with grated fresh coconut.
FOUR EGG YELLOW CAKE
This is our favorite yellow cake recipe. I usually don't get to put any icing on before it is gone.

- In a small bowl, cream shortening and sugar. Add egg; beat well. Stir in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk. Beat on medium speed for two minutes. Pour into a 9x5-in. loaf pan coated with cooking spray. , Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely. , Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt butter. Stir in brown sugar. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cook and stir for two minutes. Stir in milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cool to lukewarm. Gradually stir in confectioners' sugar. Place pan in a bowl of ice water; stir until mixture reaches desired spreading consistency. Spread frosting over top of cake.

- With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 350°F Line the bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper. Butter and flour the sides.
- In a saucepan, bring the water, dates and baking soda to a boil. Simmer for about 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Transfer to a bowl and let cool.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar using an electric mixer. Add the eggs one at a time, beating until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. With the mixer on low speed, add the dry ingredients, alternating with the date mixture. Pour into the pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from the oven. If desired, place the pan on a baking sheet to catch any icing that might spill over. Set the oven to broil.

- In a saucepan, bring all ingredients to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat and simmer gently for about 2 minutes.
- Spread the icing on the hot cake and broil until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes.
