CRAB FRIED RICE

This fried rice is very easy and so popular for Thai and Chinese. Try this recipe and you'll find it is very nice taste. Serve with chili in fish sauce or called in Thai 'Nam Pla Prik.' Enjoy!!!

Crab Fried Rice image

Steps:

  • Place the rice and water in a saucepan, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Heat the oil in a wok over medium heat. Cook and stir the onions and garlic in the hot oil until tender. Mix in the rice, sugar, and salt, and cook 5 minutes, until well blended. Stir in the egg until the rice is coated. Increase heat to high, and mix in the crabmeat, green onions, and cilantro. Continue cooking 2 to 5 minutes, until the crab is heated through. Garnish with the cucumber and lime slices to serve.

Fried Rice with Chinese Sausage image

Steps:

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of canola oil in a wok over high heat. Add the beaten eggs and fry until they are fully cooked. Transfer them to plate. Add the remaining oil, ginger, garlic, carrot, and celery, and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the sausage and half of the scallions and cook for 1 minute. Add the cooked rice, soy sauce and rice wine vinegar. Stir-fry until the rice is hot, about 2 minutes. Stir in the reserved eggs and transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with the remaining scallions and serve.

Sausage and Imitation Crab Fried Rice image

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and fry for 5 minutes. Add imitation crab and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Move imitation crab and sausage mixture to the edges of the pan. Melt margarine in the center of the pan. Add eggs and cook, stirring with a spatula, until eggs are soft scrambled, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Add cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning salt, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and parsley flakes. Mix until combined and cook until hot, 3 to 5 minutes. Serve.

Copycat Sizzler Rice image

Steps:

  • In a skillet with lid over medium heat, saute raw pasta in butter, stirring, until it begins to brown. REMOVE FROM HEAT.
  • Stir in all seasoning powders and rice.
  • Carefully add lemon juice and warm water (it may sputter - you can let the pan cool off longer to prevent this). Stir.
  • Cover with lid and simmer on lowest heat for 20-25 minutes, or until rice is tender and all liquid absorbed.
  • You could also try this in a rice cooker, by dumping browned pasta into cooker with all remaining ingredients and setting as usual for regular rice.

1/4 cup uncooked orzo pasta
2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons chicken bouillon powder
3 dashes garlic powder
3 dashes onion powder
1 cup uncooked long-grain rice

Steps:

  • Cook the sausage with garlic powder in a large skillet until browned.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Pour drippings from skillet.
  • Add oil and heat until hot but not smoking.
  • And rice and stir-fry over high heat for 1 minute.
  • Add vegetables and sausage and continue to stir-fry, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in eggs and cook until set; season.
  • Sprinkle with onions.

  • First, prep all of your ingredients, including your aromatics--ginger, garlic, cilantro, and scallion. Prep the beaten eggs as well and set them aside. Only when you have all the ingredients prepared and ready to go should you start cooking.
  • Heat the cooking oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the ginger first, stirring for 30 seconds. Then add the garlic. When the garlic is just cooked (before it starts to turn golden), add the cooked rice to the wok, and turn up the heat to high. Stir fry the rice for 3 minutes or so until it's thoroughly combined with the ginger/garlic mixture and/or warmed through if you're using leftover rice.
  • Now for the flavorings: add the white pepper, fish sauce, soy sauce, and shaoxing wine to the rice. If it's not quite salty enough for you or if you know you won't be eating it with added hot sauce, now is the time to add salt to taste. Stir-fry to combine.
  • Using your spatula, spread the rice out into an even layer along the surface of the wok. Pour the beaten egg evenly over the rice. Stir the rice until all of the egg is cooked and incorporated. The egg coats the rice and makes for a most excellent savory experience. Much better than broken up bits/huge chunks of scrambled egg throughout.
