CRANBERRY APPLE SAUTE

My husband came up with this recipe by adding cranberries to fried green apples. We thought the colors were perfect for the holidays, and the flavor went well with our Christmas ham.

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Cook over medium heat for 15-17 minutes or until the apples are tender and the sauce is slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.

Remove from the heat; stir in the remaining ingredients. , Transfer to a greased 1-1/2-qt. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until heated through.
