Steps:
- Mix the cabbage and green onions in a large bowl. In a small saucepan over medium heat, brown the almonds and sesame seeds in the butter.
- Combine the dressing ingredients in a small bowl and stir well. Just before serving, add the sesame seeds, almonds, and crushed raw ramen noodles to the cabbage and green onions. Pour the dressing, a little at a time, over the salad mix, then toss.

Massage the salad with your hands, especially the kale, to get the dressing worked into the veggies. This is critical and helps soften everything and really is the most important part!

CHINESE (RAMEN) NOODLE SALAD
There are similar versions of this out there, but I tweaked the one I got from a good friend's sister. It sounds like a weird combination, but it is quick to make, easy, and very tasty. But, those who save my other recipes know that I like simple, flavorful dishes. *** Windywood- I have made it using candied pineapple tidbits before, soy nuts, apple bits, sunflower seeds, etc. Each time, it comes out a bit different, but wonderful. It is a very fun recipe to experiment with.

Steps:
- Wisk together the sugar, oil, vinegar, and seasoning packets from the ramen noodles, dissolving throughly for the dressing.
- Mix together the almonds, noodles, slaw mix, and onions.
- Pour the dressing over the top of the slaw mixture.
- Refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours before serving.
- Serve!

HORSERADISH COLESLAW WITH APPLES
This was a recipe that was given to me by my sister but I made some modifications. If you like your slaw tangy with a bit of a bite, and a little bit sweet, this recipe is for you.

Steps:
- In small bowl, pour lemon juice over apples.
- In another bowl, combine slaw mix with green onions.
- Toss these together.
- In a separate bowl, combine vinegar, sugar salt and pepper. Make sure sugar is dissolved.
- Pour vinegar mixture over apples and cabbage mixture, cover and refrigerate for 30 minute.
- In another bowl, combine, mayo, sour cream, horseradish and mustard.
- After 30 minutes, toss with cabbage mixture.
- Refrigerate before serving.
