Black Bean Pico De Gallo image

Steps:

  • Combine 1 can black beans (drained), 2 diced plum tomatoes, 1/2 chopped small red onion and 1/4 cup chopped cilantro in a bowl. Add the juice of 1 lime, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon chopped chipotle in adobo sauce and 1 teaspoon honey and stir. Season with salt.

I had made a different burger posted here but I wasn't really satisfied with the outcome.The family loved it but I wanted a more ADULT BURGER for the guys while they are watching football games.So I rethought it out and this is what I came up with.I sent 12 to my husbands freight team and they sent me a note,stating this may be the best burgers ever....I will post it under pictures.This is a delicious burger.

SPICEY BLACK BEAN PICO DE GALLO BURGER image

Steps:

  • THIS BURGER RECIPE CAN BE CUT IN HALF FOR A SMALLER GROUP.
  • In a large bowl,combine ground meat,chorizo,chipolte peppers,black bean pico,garlic, salt and pepper.Form mixture into 15 patties.
  • Heat grill to high.If cooking inside use a large skillet to cook 3 at a time.Place patties on the grill,cook about 7 mnutes per side or until done no pink in the center.
  • Place burgers on English muffins.Top with 3 teaspoons of cheese.Top cheese with 2 teaspoons Pico De Gallo. ENJOY!!!!!!

Steps:

  • Whisk egg, cumin, chili powder, and chile-garlic sauce together in a bowl.
  • Mash black beans in a separate bowl until they reach a paste-like consistency.
  • Stir jalapeno pepper, corn, and garlic through the black bean paste.
  • Mix the egg mixture into the black bean mixture.
  • Scatter the bread crumbs over the black bean mixture; mix with your hands to evenly incorporate.
  • Form the resulting mixture into 4 patties.
  • Pour flour into the bottom of a shallow dish; coat the patties in the flour to help them hold shape.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties in hot oil until cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.

Black Beans with Pico de Gallo image

Steps:

  • Stir together the tomato, onion, cilantro, and honey. Season with lime juice, vinegar, salt and pepper; set aside.
  • Melt bacon grease in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in garlic and onion, cook until softened and translucent, about 3 minutes. Pour in the black beans and water, season to taste with salt and pepper, then simmer for 10 minutes or until hot. Serve topped with pico de gallo.

Pico De Gallo Garlic Burgers image

Steps:

  • Using your hands, squeeze excess liquid from pico de gallo.
  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • I use my hands as it tends to blend the ingredients better.
  • Form into burgers (size is your choice).
  • NOTE: The burgers will be very moist but should not fall apart, you will need a spatula to set them on the grill if you are not cooking on stovetop.
  • Cook and enjoy with your favorite condiments.
  • I grill the buns for added taste.
  • I also love to make my own fresh french frys and when I pull them out of the deep fryer I sprinkle them with Tony Cachera's Cajun seasoning.
  • You can use store brand pico de gallo, I however make my own but also love the recipes that are on Zaar.
  • I couldn't narrow it down to one recipe to refer you to, so please do a search for your choice of recipe.
  • I admit, I have fallen in love with Yai-Yai's Garlic Sauce, it is a very strong wonderful sauce (http://www. ultimategarlic. com).
  • You can use fresh micned garlic as well.
  • As I love garlic, if I used fresh I would probably use 2 to 3 cloves at least.

Steps:

  • Using fork, mash beans in medium bowl. Mix in onion, breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons salsa, cumin and hot pepper sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Using moistened hands, shape bean mixture into two 3- to 4-inch-diameter patties.
  • Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat) or preheat broiler. Brush barbecue rack with oil. Grill burgers until heated through, about 3 minutes per side. Grill cut sides of buns until lightly toasted, about 1 minute. Transfer burgers to bottom halves of buns. Spoon 1/4 cup salsa over each. Cover with tops of buns.
