CHOCOLATE TEDDY BEAR COOKIES

Chocolate Teddy Bear Cookies image

Steps:

  • Cream together the butter or margarine, sugar and vanilla. Add the eggs. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and blend. Chill until firm.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • For each cookie: Roll: 1 ball for the body (1 inch), 1 ball for the head (3/4 inch), 4 small balls for arms/legs (1/2inch), 2 smaller balls for ears, and 1 tiny ball for the nose. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet. With tooth pick, draw eyes and mouth.
  • Bake 6 minutes or until set. Let cool 1 minute, then remove from cookie sheet. Optional: Make a ribbon around their necks using licorice whips (after baking).

BEARS IN A BUBBLE BATH MINI TREATS

These are the cutest treat for kids! They look like bears taking a bubble bath! They are delicious and not too messy - so they are easy to take to school/parties. (I came up with the idea after getting tired of taking cupcakes to school and having to deal with the mess!) They are also small enough for young children. Very easy to make when you use refridgerated cookie dough... My son entered these into a dessert contest when he was 5 years old and he won! Too cute!!

Bears in a Bubble Bath Mini Treats image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cake mix, melted butter and egg together. This should be like a soft dough. Take a spoonful of batter and roll into a small ball. Push dough ball into a mini-muffin tin. Take a Rolo and push into the center of the batter. Fill up the muffin tin and bake for 10 minutes. Take the muffin tin out and add 3-4 mini-marshmellows on top of each treat. Push in 2 Teddy Graham bear cookies into each treat. Bake for 2 more minutes to melt the marshmellows a bit. Cool and enjoy!
  • NOTE: Please use muffin tin liners and spray with cooking spray -- these treats get sticky!

  • In a small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar and molasses. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour into a large bowl; let stand 10 minutes. Stir in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, cinnamon, ginger, baking soda and cloves; gradually add to butter mixture and mix well. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours or overnight., Preheat oven to 350°. Shape dough into ten 2-in. balls, ten 1-in. balls, forty 1/2-in. balls and twenty 3/8-in.balls. Place the 2-in. balls on 3 foil-lined baking sheets for the body of 8 bears; flatten to 1/2-in. thickness. Position 1-in. balls for heads; flatten to 1/2-in. thickness. Attach four 1/2-in. balls to each bear for arms and legs. Attach two 3/8-in. balls for ears. Add chocolate chips for eyes and buttons. , Bake 10-12 minutes or until set.   • Blend in chocolate syrup.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  • Blend in vanilla.

  • Cover and chill one hour.
  • Drop batter by heaping teaspoonsful onto a greased baking sheet.
