GARLIC ASIAGO BREAD
My friends and family rave about this recipe. It has chunks of cheese and fabulous garlic taste. We have bread sales at our school as a fundraiser and this is always one of the top sellers.-Charlotte Thomas, Pollock Pines, California

- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the oil, garlic, sugar, salt, vinegar and 2 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a firm dough. Stir in cheese., Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. , Punch dough down; divide in half. Shape into 5-in. round loaves. Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes. , For egg wash, in a small bowl, combine egg and water. Brush over loaves. Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire racks.

TUSCAN STYLE CORNBREAD (POLENTA BREAD)
An unusual cornbread with pancetta, sun-dried tomatoes, and rosemary baked right in. Can be made in a 10-inch cast iron skillet or a 9 inch round cake pan.

- Preheat oven to 375°F In a medium bowl combine cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt; set aside. Add 1 tablespoon oil to a 10 inch cast iron skillet or 9-inch round cake pan and place in oven for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and swirl oil around to coat bottom and sides.
- Meanwhile, in a large bowl combine half-and-half, eggs, and remaining oil. Crumble in bacon, then stir in tomatoes, shallot, and rosemary. Add dry cornmeal mixture and stir just until moistened. Pour batter into skillet or cake pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until a wooden toothpick comes out clean.
- Cut into wedges and serve with softened butter.

- Butter an 8-inch square baking pan. Whisk the muffin mix and chili powder in a large bowl to blend. Mix in the milk and eggs. Stir in the tomatoes. Spread the batter in the prepared pan.
