WAFFLE SUNDAES
I love that whole flavor contrast/texture experience. Sweet and salty, smooth and crunchy, hot and cold. I came up with this a while ago when I was searching for midnight snack and couldn't decide between a waffle and ice cream. So why not have both? It's not really a recipe, more of a concept. Just use all of your favorites! I used Roselani's Kona Mud Pie ice cream. It's a Hawaiian brand, so if you don't live here, you can't find it. It's a Kona coffee ice cream, with chocolate sandwich cookies, and a mocha fudge sauce. Of course, just use whatever you want! And it's an awesome treat for breakfast! Cooking time is toasting the waffle.

Steps:
- Take out ice cream to slightly soften while preparing waffle.
- Toast (or make) waffle to your liking.
- At the same time, heat up hot fudge and caramel (or any other toppings you would like to use).
- To assemble, place waffle on plate.
- Add scoop(s) of ice on top of waffle.
- Drizzle with hot fudge and caramel (or desired toppings).
- Top with whipped cream.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Top with maraschino cherry.
- Enjoy immediately!

- Prepare the things you'll need and ingredients - at least enough to make the waffles that will line the serving plate for this dish. You'll want to set these items off to the side so they are easy to grab - but keep your ice cream frozen.
- Know how many people you are planning to serve these sundaes to, and how big their appetites are. Most restaurants serve Belgian waffle sundaes as one full Belgian waffle, but if you read through the Internet, you'll see many copies of these recipes call for this waffle to be broken up into its component quarters - cut without losing too much-overhung product, and without letting mix drip down the maker and without making areas of the waffle become less thick than other areas of the same waffle.
- Prepare your Belgian Waffles using your Belgian Waffle maker. You'll need a mix consisting of a certain waffle mix and a liquid - all described on the back of the Belgian Waffle box or in our wikiHow attached in this step, above.
- Place the Belgian Waffle on your plate and grab the ice cream. For those with not-such-big appetites, you may want to cut these into their component quadrants, and place unused quadrants into your refrigerator for later eating, or to be dished out to others.
- Dish out several balls of ice cream. Most restaurants serving Belgian Waffle Sundaes use no more than three or four, but this can be your choice and can depend on your appetite.
- Whip out your whipped cream (or ReddiWhip in the spray can). Place some along the center of the waffle - lightly covering the ice cream with whipped cream.
- Drizzle a small handful of sprinkles along the top of the whipped cream - unless you don't like sprinkles. These sprinkles are just there for dazzle-effect.
- Place the maraschino cherry in the direct center of the waffle where some whipped cream should be. For best results, use maraschino cherries with the stem on.
