KIM'S GARLIC BREADSTICKS
These are great breadsticks to make. They taste great and are easy to make. If you are an Olive Garden® lover, then you will LOVE these.

Steps:
- Dissolve yeast and sugar in 1/4 cup warm water in a large bowl. Let stand until the yeast softens and begins to form a creamy foam, about 15 minutes. Add flour, 1 1/4 cup warm water, 2 tablespoons softened butter, and 1 tablespoon salt; knead until dough is well mixed and soft, about 3 minutes.
- Roll dough into a 2-foot log. Cut into 16 equal pieces, about 1 1/2 inches wide. Knead each piece and shape into a 6-inch breadstick. Arrange breadsticks on a baking sheet; let rise for about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Mix 3 tablespoons melted butter and garlic powder together in a bowl; brush onto breadsticks.
- Bake breadsticks in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Immediately brush with remaining melted butter mixture; sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.

- Preheat an oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Stir together the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and basil in a small bowl; set aside.

WOLFGANG'S BEEF GOULASH
While shopping, I discovered a big sale on boneless beef shank and bought a few pounds on a whim. Who can resist a sale? Not me; some people buy shoes; I buy groceries, what can I say. I have no experience preparing this cut of meat. As I was handeling this beef in preparation for packaging, I could tell that it was a very tough cut of beef. I knew this was going to be a challenge for me. I went in search of a recipes using it and came across this one on Yahoo.com It is a Wolfgang Puck recipe, and sounds delish. I've copied the recipe exactly as written, including the cooking time of 1-1/2 hours. I believe the cooking time will be considerably longer if it is to become tender. The preparation time I've entered is a "guesstimation" because, as I've said, I've not made this yet. If anybody prepares it before I get to it, please provide cooking details in the review process. I can't wait to test my cooking skills on this.

Steps:
- In a large saute pan, heat the olive oil and saute the onions and sugar until caramelized.
- Add the garlic and caraway seed. Cook another minute.
- Add the sweet and sharp paprika, marjoram, thyme and bay leaf.
- Saute another minute, until fragrant.
- Add the tomato paste.
- Deglaze pan with the vinegar and the stock and add the pieces of beef shank, salt and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then lower to a simmer and cook until very tender, about 1-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

WOLFGANG'S GARLIC BREAD
This is a great 'different' from the normal garlic breads. I used only Parmesan cheese, recipe calls for both Parmesan and Mozza. I guess I really shouldn't be messing with Wolfgang's recipes...but we liked the outcome!

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.
- In a blender, combine the garlic, basil, rosemary, sage, chili flakes and a pinch of salt. Puree.
- With the blender running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil.
- Slice the bread into 1/2 inch thick slices and place on a cookie sheet.
- Brush with the garlic pesto.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan and mozzarella, if desired.
- Bake on the upper rack until golden brown and bubbly, about 5 to 7 minutes.
