Apple Pie Sundae image

Steps:

  • In a serving dish, add the crushed graham crackers, scoops of vanilla ice cream, apple pie filling and a dollop of the Cinnamon Whipped Cream. Top with the caramel sauce and caramel popcorn snack mix.
  • In a chilled bowl, add the cream, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Whisk until medium peaks form, 5 to 8 minutes.

2 large graham crackers, crushed
1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup apple pie filling
Cinnamon Whipped Cream, recipe follows
2 tablespoons caramel sauce
2 tablespoons caramel popcorn snack mix with peanuts
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla

Pumpkin Pie Sundae image

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Combine the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl and set aside. Spread the melted butter over the pie crust and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon sugar. Bake until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool completely, then crumble and set aside.
  • Build your sundaes starting with the pumpkin ice cream, dipping the scoop in a mug of hot water if necessary. Top with the pie crust crumbles, caramel sauce and candied pecans. Serve immediately.

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • 2. Spray A 9 X 13 inch pan with cooking spray just to coat pan
  • 3. Arrange apple slices in pan
  • 4. Mix together 1/4 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar and the cinnamon
  • 5. Sprinkle over the apple slices
  • 6. Mix 1/3 cup white sugar with the flour
  • 7. Cut in the butter until crumbly
  • 8. Spoon mixture over apples
  • 9. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, or until done
  • 10. Let cool 20 minutes
  • 11. To make the butter rum sauce: In a medium sauce pan combine the sugar, butter, and cream.
  • 12. Using medium to low heat, heat the sugar, butter and cream until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves
  • 13. Add the rum extract and vanilla and stir until mixed in.
  • 14. To assemble: place a serving of apple mixture in a bowl or goblet, top the apple mixture with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the ice cream.

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Combine the sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside. Melt 1 tablespoon butter. Spread the melted butter over the pie crust and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon sugar. Bake until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool completely, then crumble and set aside.
  • Melt the remaining tablespoon butter in a medium saute pan. Add the apples, vanilla, a pinch of salt and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft, 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely.
  • Build your sundaes starting with the ice cream, dipping the scoop in a mug of hot water if necessary. Top with the sauteed apples, pie crust crumbles, caramel sauce and candied pecans. Serve immediately.

Steps:

  • Add 2 tablespoons of the butter to a skillet and melt over medium-high heat. Add the apples and saute for 5 minutes. Remove to a plate and set aside.
  • In the same skillet over medium heat, add the brown sugar and the remaining stick of butter. Stir it around until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves, then pour in the cream. Stir it around and let it bubble up and thicken for about a minute. Turn the heat to low and add the apples back to the skillet. Sprinkle in the cinnamon, stir the mixture and let it thicken for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Spoon big scoops of vanilla ice cream into sundae glasses and drizzle over the caramel apple sauce.

1 stick plus 2 tablespoons salted butter
4 Granny Smith apples, finely diced
1 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
