BEEF 'N' BEAN BRAID

- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the butter, sugar, salt, egg and 1-1/2 cups flour; beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. , Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. , Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and garlic salt over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the beans, water and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5-10 minutes or until thickened., Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; roll into a 16x11-in. rectangle. Transfer to a greased 15x10-in. baking sheet. Spread beef mixture down center of dough; sprinkle with cheese. On each long side, cut 1-in.-wide strips about 1/2 in. from filling. Starting at one end, fold alternating strips at an angle across filling; seal ends. Cover and let rise until doubled, 30 minutes. , Brush egg over dough. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to a wire rack. Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.

- Preheat oven to 350°. In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat 6-8 minutes or until beef is no longer pink, breaking up beef into crumbles; drain. Stir in broccoli, cheese, sour cream, salt and pepper; heat through. , Unroll 1 tube of crescent dough onto a greased baking sheet; form into a 12x8-in. rectangle, pressing perforations to seal. Spoon half of the beef mixture lengthwise down center of rectangle., On each long side, cut 1-in.-wide strips at an angle, about 3 in. into the center. Fold 1 strip from each side over filling and pinch ends together; repeat., Repeat with remaining ingredients to make second braid. Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Beat milk and cream cheese together until smooth. Mix in eggs, and season with salt and pepper. Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium high heat and cook egg mixture until eggs are almost set.
- Arrange the crescent rolls from one package into a rectangle shape on top of a lightly greased cookie sheet. Place rolls from remaining package along the edges of the two long sides of the rectangle, with the broad half of the rolls on top of the first layer of rolls, and the pointed ends extending over the sides of the pan.
- Arrange the ham in a layer down the center of the dough. Spoon the cooked egg mixture on top of the ham and then sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top of the eggs. Bring the corners of the rolls together over the cheese to form a 'braid' shape.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown.

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees F).
- In a large bowl, toss together chicken, broccoli, red bell pepper, garlic, Cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, dill weed, salt, almonds and onion.
- Unroll crescent roll dough, and arrange flat on a medium baking sheet. Pinch together perforations to form a single sheet of dough. Using a knife or scissors, cut 1 inch wide strips in towards the center, starting on the long sides. There should be a solid strip about 3 inches wide down the center, with the cut strips forming a fringe down each side. Spread the chicken mixture along the center strip. Fold the side strips over chicken mixture, alternating strips from each side. Pinch or twist to seal.
- Brush braided dough with the egg white. Bake in the preheated oven 25 to 28 minutes, or until golden brown.

- Heat oven to 350°F. In large skillet over medium-high heat, cook and stir steak strips in margarine until no longer pink remove from skillet. Add onion and bell pepper cook until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Add cooked steak season with salt and pepper.Unroll 1 can dough into 2 long rectangles. Place on ungreased cookie sheet with long sides overlapping 1/2 inch firmly press edges and perforations to seal. Press or roll out to form 13 x 7-inch rectangle. Spoon heaping cupful of meat mixture in 2-inch strip lengthwise down center of dough to within 1/4 inch of each end. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the cheese over meat mixture. Make cuts 1 inch apart on longest sides of rectangle just to edge of filling. To give braided appearance, fold strips of dough at an angle halfway across filling, alternating from side to side. - Preheat oven to 425°.
- Unroll dough onto a baking sheet coated with cooking spray; pat into a 15 x 10-inch rectangle.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and mushrooms; cook until tender. Stir in eggs and chiles; cook until set. Remove from heat.
- 4. Sprinkle 1/2 c cheese lengthwise down center of dough, leaving about a 2 1/2-inch border on each side. Spoon egg mixture evenly over cheese. Sprinkle remaining cheddar over egg mixture.
- 5. Make 2-inch-long diagonal cuts about 1 inch apart on both sides of dough to within 1/2 inch of filling using a sharp knife or kitchen shears. Arrange strips over filling, alternating strips diagonally over filling. Press ends under to seal. Brush with egg white if desired. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes. Cut crosswise into slices.

- Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Combine dinner or Texas rolls and roll into a 12x16-inch rectangle. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest 20-25 minutes.
- Remove wrap and spread mustard lengthwise in a 4-inch strip down center of dough. Top with corned beef, spinach and potatoes. Sprinkle potatoes with salt and pepper. Top with grated cheese. Make cuts 1 1/2-inches apart on long sides of dough to within 1/2-inch of filling.
- Begin braid by folding top and bottom strips toward filling. Then braid strips alternately over filling. Finish by pulling last strip over and tucking under braid.

- Preheat oven 375ºF (190ºC)
- Add eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to a bowl and whisk to combine.
- Heat a saute pan to medium heat and spray with nonstick spray. Add the egg mixture and scramble until soft and almost fully cooked.
- Flatten out the puff pastry and cut it into thirds, then cut in half.
- Take one sheet of puff pastry and cut 3 strips with a paring knife, leaving about 1 inch (2 ½) on the end to hold it together. Braid the 3 strips gently.
- On the second sheet of puff pastry, place ham, egg and cheese, making sure to leave some place around the edges.
- Place the braid on the top of the cheese and egg mixture, then brush with egg wash.
- Place braids on a lightly oil sprayed baking sheet.
- Bake 25-30 minutes or until pastry is risen and deep golden brown.
