BAKED CHICKEN BURGERS WITH MUSHROOMS AND SPINACH

Try these baked chicken burgers as an alternative to hamburgers! Added mushrooms and onions give great texture to these burgers, with a little amped-up flavor as well. With buns and traditional burger fixings, or with your own twist, put a little something different on the table tonight.

Baked Chicken Burgers with Mushrooms and Spinach image

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inchbaking pan with avocado oil.
  • Combine mushrooms, spinach, onion, and garlic in the bowl of a small food processor or blender and pulse several times until chopped into very small pieces, but not pureed.
  • Place ground chicken in a bowl. Add chopped vegetables, chicken base, salt, and pepper. Mix until vegetable pieces are evenly distributed. Divide mixture into 5 evenly sized portions and shape into patties.
  • Place patties onto the prepared baking sheet and lightly brush with remaining avocado oil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Turn on the broiler and broil each side until browned, 1 to 2 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  • Place each chicken burger on a bun.

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first 9 ingredients. Shape into four 3/4-in.-thick patties., In a large cast-iron or other heavy skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add burgers; cook until crisp and lightly browned, 3-4 minutes on each side. Serve on buns with lettuce and if desired, tomato and mayonnaise.

This is my modification of the Cheeseburger bake on the Jiffy mix box. It's an easy, tasty meal that is a big hit with my family and friends.

Hamburger Mushroom Bake image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine biscuit mix and water into dough.
  • Spread in the bottom of a 9X13 pan sprayed with cooking spray (make sure to press the edges up like a pizza crust) Brown and drain the ground beef.
  • Chop onion and fry in hamburger pan until clear.
  • Mix cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, onion and ground beef and spread over unbaked crust Top with sliced mushrooms (or shredded cheese or any special seasonings your family likes.) Bake for 15-17 minutes, or unil raised edges of crust are golden brown.

2 cups biscuit mix (I use Jiffy)
2/3 cup water
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope onion soup mix
sliced mushrooms (optional)

BURGER MUSHROOM BAKE

This recipe was passed to me by my sister back in the mid 60's and have been making it ever since as have my children and now my older grandchildren. Needless to say it is a long time family favorite. We like these served this with either rice or egg noodles along with the gravy that is created in the pan during baking. ENJOY..!! :)

Steps:

  • Combine 1/4 cup soup with remaining ingredients; except water and mix thoroughly.
  • Shape into 6 patties.
  • Place in 12x8x2 inch shallow baking dish.
  • BAKE: 350ºF for 30 minutes.
  • Spoon off fat.
  • Combine remaining soup and water; pour over meat.
  • BAKE: 10 minutes more.
