Steps:
- In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the water and vanilla. Stir in the flour and pecans until well blended. Cover dough and chill for at least four hours.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Shape dough into walnut sized balls or crescents. Place 2 inches apart onto unprepared cookie sheets.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden. Roll in confectioners' sugar while still warm.

MMMM....... These cookies are your traditional pecan sandie, made even better with the addition of cinnamon. Try them on your Christmas cookie tray this year.

Steps:
- Cream butter and 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar. Stir in vanilla extract and water. Add flour and mix well. Stir in pecans. Shape into 1 1/2 inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes or until light brown. While cookies are baking mix togeather the remaining 1 cup powdered sugar and the 2 teaspoons cinnamon. When cookies are done and still hot, roll in the powder sugar/cinnamon mixture. Allow to cool and roll in the mix again.

- Preheat oven to 300°. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in extract. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Fold in almonds. , Drop by level tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake until edges are lightly browned, 22-24 minutes. Cool for 1-2 minutes before removing to wire racks.

- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 pan with butter, or line with parchment paper. Sift together the flours, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream together the butter and the sugar. Add the egg and the vanilla extract and mix until light and fluffy. Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mix until combined. Add the pecans and stir again to distribute.
- Press the dough into the bottom of the greased pan. Press with your fingers or a pastry roller to smooth the top of the dough.
