Steps:
- Bring sugar and corn syrup to a boil.
- Remove from heat.
- Mix in butter and peanut butter.
- Stir in corn flakes.
- Press into the bottom of a 9 X 13 inch dish.
- Let cool.
- Cut into squares.

KEY LIME COOKIES
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs 1 at a time and the lime juice, and mix well. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to butter mixture until incorporated. Dough should be stiff but not dry. Shape into 1-inch balls, press thumb into center of balls to make an indentation, being careful not to press through to the bottom. Fill indentations with about 1 tablespoon Key lime curd. Bake for 15 minutes, until lightly brown. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
NO-BAKE CORNFLAKE COOKIES
I grew up on a farm where we hand-milked cows and had plenty of milk and cream to use for cooking. Sometimes we'd substitute light cream for the evaporated milk in this recipe. We'd rarely let these cookies cool before sampling them, and a batch never lasted a day! -Denise Marnell, Hereford, Texas

- Combine cornflakes, coconut and pecans; set aside. In a small heavy saucepan, combine remaining ingredients. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until a candy thermometer reads 240° (soft-ball stage). Add syrup mixture to dry ingredients; stir well. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let stand until set.

- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease cookie sheets.
- In a large bowl, mix together the canola oil, margarine, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; stir into the sugar mixture. Mix in the cornflakes cereal, oats, chocolate chips and walnuts. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Allow cookies to cool slightly on the cookie sheets before removing to wire racks to cool completely.

- In a 6-qt. stockpot, melt butter over medium heat. Add marshmallows; cook and stir until melted. Remove from heat., Fold in cornflakes. Working quickly, fill 16 greased muffin cups two-thirds full. Using the end of a wooden spoon, make holes in centers to resemble wreaths. Decorate immediately with Red Hots and sprinkles.

A recipe adapted from a famous, anal retentive, control freak, home making guru (she irons her sheets for goodness sake) and as such, is overly complicated yet... yields delicious results. A different kind of cookie that offers a wonderful finish to a Mexican meal/dinner party.

Steps:
- Cream butter and sugar 3-4 minutes.
- Add egg and beat until JUST combined.
- Add zests, lime juice and extract.
- Add flour and cornmeal and mix until well blended.
- Cover with waxed paper or plastic wrap.
- Form into a disc (why? Beats me) and chill, at least, 1 hour.
- Roll heaping teaspoons of dough into balls and place on baking stones (or lined baking sheets) 3" apart.
- Dip bottom of a medium drinking glass into a bowl filled with the cornmeal and flatten balls with the bottom of the glass until dough is 1/4" thick.
- Bake cookies at 350 until golden brown around the edges, about 14-16 minutes.
- When cookies cool pour lime glaze (mix ingredients together) over them.
- Let glaze set.
- Devour.

WORLD'S BEST COOKIES AKA THAT 70S ELUSIVE CORNFLAKE COOKIES
This wonderful recipe was in circulation when I was a kid in the 70s. Years later, a woman brought a tray of these to the office, which I instantly recognized as THOSE COOKIES FROM MY CHILDHOOD, and she refused to give me the recipe (said it was her babysitter's secret recipe)! I searched online (tried several recipes) and asked my friends and family off and on if they'd heard of it, for 10 years. I finally JUST found this online! They are SO GOOD! - Preheat oven to 325.
- Cream butter, sugars, vanilla and egg.
- Add oil.
- Mix in dry ingredients.
- Form dough into walnut sized balls.
