- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and rinse in cold water. , In a large bowl, combine the pasta, broccoli, cauliflower, peas and carrots, tomatoes, cheese, onions, green pepper and olives. Add the dressing; mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until chilled.

SALAD BAR SALAD WITH CREAMY ITALIAN DRESSING

- For the dressing: Mince the garlic with a knife and then sprinkle about 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of salt on it and mash it into a paste with a fork. Chop the parsley, chives and basil very finely and add to the garlic.
- In a bowl, combine the garlic mixture, mayonnaise, sour cream, Parmesan, cayenne, paprika and Worcestershire, tasting frequently and adjusting the seasonings as needed. Chill for a couple of hours before serving. Thin with a little milk before using if desired.
- For the salad: To assemble, layer chunks of the iceberg lettuce on a platter. In lines, lay on the grated cheese, shredded carrots and cucumber slices, and sprinkle the sunflower seeds over the top. Drizzle on the dressing and serve.

If you like simple pasta salads you should try this. I love this in the summer but you could have this any time. I didn't see any other recipes like this that used both dressings so I thought I'd share mine. They really do go well together. This is pretty versatile and you can add any veggies that you'd like.

- In a large bowl, combine rest of ingredients and toss to coat.

Steps:
- Measure the mayonnaise into a bowl.
- Stir in the oil, 2 tablespoons at a time.
- Make sure all of the oil is blended in before adding more.
- Add the onion, and vinegar.
- Stir again, until all of the vinegar is absorbed.
- Add the sugar, basil, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Blend well.
- Store the mixture in a pint sized canning jar in the fridge. This may also be prepared by whirling everything together in a blender until it is smooth. Try it on your favorite salads, and also on baloney sandwiches, and in pita bread sandwiches. Excellent.

- Cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside to cool completely.
- While the pasta cooks, prepare the dressing by whisking together Creamy Italian salad dressing and mayonnaise. Set aside.
- Once pasta is completely cool, transfer it in a large bowl. Add tomatoes, bell pepper, pepperoni, olives, cheese and basil. Pour dressing over top and gently toss to combine. You might not need all of the dressing right away. I usually reserve about 1/4 cup of the dressing so that I can add a little bit more just before serving.
