This is the best finger gelatin recipe. I've been making it for many years. It's simple to make, and kids love it! You can be very creative for parties or events by using cookie cutters to cut the gelatin. Enjoy! Use your favorite flavor of gelatin mix.

MAGIC FINGER JELLO

The only Jello finger recipe my mom ever used... and after trying many, it's the one that's worked best for me! (*Note: Cooking Time is chilling time*)

Steps:

  • Dissolve unflavoured gelatin in one cup of cold water. Set aside.
  • In saucepan bring one cup of water to a boil and add Jello. Bring back to a boil and then remove from heat.
  • Add gelatin mixture to hot Jello mixture. Stir and add 1/2 cup cold water.
  • Pour into a greased pan, cover with plastic wrap, and set aside in fridge until solid.
  • Cut into squares or use cookie cutters to make interesting shapes.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • Note: each season it's fun to make these different colours and shapes. In our family we make green and red Jello Fingers at Christmas, at Valentine's Day red heart-shaped ones, St. Patrick's Day green clovers, Halloween orange circles (you can make into jack-o-lanterns) - it's fun for the kids and the Mom and Dad!
  • (This recipe is ideal for an 8x8 pan, but for really little kids it's great if you've got a 9x13 as it makes them thinner.).

2 (1 tablespoon) packages unflavored gelatin
1 (6 ounce) package Jello gelatin
2 1/2 cups water

  • Parmesan Bread Bites. Is there a person on the planet that doesn’t love warm, garlicky bread? I mean, it doesn’t get much better in my eyes. I love that this recipe uses pizza dough to bake these bread bites.
  • Italian Sausage Dip Recipe. I long for the days where we could meet up and share a big bowl of chips and dip a few drinks and some laughs. (Soon, I hope!)
  • Buttery Garlic Breadsticks. Whatever you do, don’t leave me alone with the bread basket! You’ve been warned! The best thing about this recipe is that you won’t need to mold the dough.
  • Herb Cream Cheese Dip. Dips can be sweet, savory, creamy, spicy, thick, thin, hot, or cold. And of course, you can get some that are a combination of those.
  • Homemade Potato Chips. If you haven’t made potato chips at home, I’m sure it’s because you don’t have a deep fryer. But did you know you can make them right in the microwave?
  • Baked Sweet Potato Fries with Sriracha Dipping Sauce. Fries are the ultimate finger food, right? They’re salty, crisp, and perfect with everything from ketchup to curry sauce.
  • Rosemary Garlic Crackers. Making your own cracker is a fantastic way to add in some fun flavors and cut out any nasty preservatives. These rosemary and garlic crackers are super tasty, crispy, and can be ready in just 20 minutes!
  • Baked Brie Bites (4 Flavors) When it comes to feeding a crowd, I like to keep things simple. With this recipe, you can make a big batch of brie bites and change just a couple of ingredients to give you an excellent selection of flavors.
  • Detroit-Style Pizza Recipe. Detroit-style pizza is rectangular, crispy, and is made with the sauce layered on top of the cheese. Another unique thing about this pizza is that it calls for cubes of cheese rather than shredded.
  • Gougères (French Cheese Puffs) Have you ever tried savory choux pastry? You’re about to! This recipe is such a wonderful way to incorporate that amazing taste and texture (of the choux) and mix it with salty, cheesy goodness.
