FRUIT BALL

I tried this recipe at a party once and loved it. It is a very sweet "dip" but very addictive. I usually serve it with Wheat Thins. Although this is very quick and easy to make, it needs time to chill.

Steps:

In medium bowl, mix cream cheese, fruit cocktail and instant pudding.
Add 1/4 cup almonds, if desired.
Mix very well.
Shape into one large ball or two smaller bolls and roll in remaining almonds.
Chill to set.
Serve with crackers.

Steps:

In a large bowl, beat sugar and eggs until blended. Beat in fruit cocktail and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; add to the creamed mixture until well blended. , Pour into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Sprinkle with coconut and walnuts. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a rack for 10 minutes. , In a small saucepan, bring the sugar, butter and milk to a boil. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla. Drizzle over cake. Cool. Cut into bars.

In a large bowl, combine fruit cocktail and dry pudding mix; stir for 2 minutes. Let stand for 2 minutes or until soft-set. Chill until serving. Fold in marshmallows just before serving. Garnish with nuts if desired. Refrigerate leftovers.
