  • Heat oven to 375°F. Brush both sides of bread slices with oil. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 5 minutes or until crisp. Cool 5 minutes.
  • Spread cream cheese over each slice. Top with beef; sprinkle with pepper. Top each with tomato slice and onions.

I went through a major bruschetta phase and tried many many recipes until I found the perfect one. This was originally Guy Fieri's but is slightly adapted to my taste after making it about a billion times. Cookingt time is marinating time.

  • In a medium mixing bowl, add the tomatoes, garlic, basil, vinegar, olive oil, cheese, salt and pepper.
  • Mix thoroughly and let sit for at least 15 minutes at room temperature to let the flavors marinate.
  • Slice the bread into individual pieces and spoon the mixture on top.

Steps:

  • Remove papery outer layers from garlic bulb. Cut off about 1/4 inch from top of bulb, leaving the bulb intact but exposing the individual cloves. Place garlic in center of a 12-inch square of foil. Drizzle garlic with olive oil. Seal foil around garlic; set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 325 degree F.
  • In an ovenproof Dutch oven brown half the meat in hot cooking oil. Remove meat with slotted spoon; brown the remaining meat. Drain off excess fat. Return all meat to pot. Stir in the beef broth, the 1/2 cup water, the Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic and dried marjoram.
  • Cover and bake along with wrapped garlic for 35 minutes. Remove garlic from oven. Cover and cook about 55 minutes longer or until meat is just tender.
  • Remove meat from oven add roasted garlic. In a small bowl or cup, stir the 1/4 cup cold water into cornstarch; add vinegar of choice and mix until well combined. Add to meat. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Serve with noodles or rice.

  • Grill or toast the bread under a broiler, on both sides, until golden. Brush with the oil and sprinkle with salt. Spread with the roasted garlic.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Rub off any loose papery skin from the garlic, and trim about a 1/2 inch off the top of each head, to expose the cloves. Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Separate the cloves of garlic from the heads and place in an ovenproof dish. Drizzle 1 ounce of olive oil over the unpeeled cloves and roast for 25 minutes until soft. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
  • Quarter the tomatoes, remove the seeds, and dice. Finely chop the basil and oregano.
  • Halve the baguette lengthwise and toast until golden. Peel the skin off of the garlic cloves. Mash the softened garlic and spread on toasted bread. Cut the baguette into diagonal pieces.
  • Mix the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, oregano, salt, pepper, and another ounce of olive oil together. Spoon the tomato mixture evenly over the garlic baguette pieces. Top each piece with one slice of goat cheese and drizzle the remaining olive oil over the goat cheese and tomatoes.
  • To serve, garnish with sprigs of fresh basil and serve immediately.

  • Heat oven to 350.
  • Place garlic on a piece of aluminum foil.
  • Drizzle with olive oil.
  • Wrap up garlic and roast in oven for about 30 minutes, or until soft.

  • Place in refrigerator to rest and cool.
  • When cool, combine with softened cream cheese.
