German Chocolate Chess Squares Recipes

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
• Spray a 9x13" pan with cooking spray.
• In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and one egg until it forms a soft dough. Press this mixture into the bottom of the 9x13" pan.
• In another bowl, mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa, and remaining two eggs until smooth. Pour over top the cake mixture.
• Bake for 40-50 minutes, until the tops and edges start to crack and turn a more golden brown.

Steps:

• In a big mixing bowl, add the first 4 ingredients; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
• Press mixture into the bottom of a greased 13x9 inch baking dish; set aside.
• In another mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, 2 eggs, and 1 cup powdered sugar; beat using an electric mixer on medium speed until blended.
• Gradually add in remaining powdered sugar; beat after each addition.
• Pour mixture over chocolate crust, spread evenly.
• Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
• Cool on wire rack; cut into squares and serve.

Steps:

• Combine flour and powdered sugar; cut in 1/2 cup butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press mixture evenly into bottom of a 9inch sqaure pan, lined with heavy duty aluminum foil. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Combine sugar, cocoa, and salt. Add 2 tablespoons butter and eggs; beat 2 1/2 minutes on medium with an electric mixer. Add milk and vanilla, mixing well. Stir in pecans. Pour mixture over crust; bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until set.

• Coat a 13 x 9 pan with cooking spray.
• Combine cake mix, egg, butter, and water by hand.
• Now, pat the batter mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
• In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and egg whites until smooth.
• Add the vanilla extract. Pour mixture over batter.
• Bake 45 minutes or until top is golden, cool and cut into squares.
