Honey Bacon Dogs Recipes

Steps:

• In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until partially cooked but not crisp. Remove to paper towels to drain; cool slightly. Wrap 1-1/2 strips of bacon around each hot dog, securing with toothpicks as needed (do not wrap tightly, or bacon may tear during grilling)., Grill, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat 6-8 minutes or until bacon is crisp and hot dogs are heated through, turning frequently. Discard toothpicks. Serve hot dogs in buns with onion and sauerkraut; top with condiments of your choice.

Steps:

• Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda and cheese in medium bowl. Add buttermilk, eggs and bacon bits; stir just until blended.
• Heat oil in large saucepan to 375°F. Drop tablespoonfuls of batter, in batches, into hot oil; cook 2 to 3 min. or until browned on both sides. (Hush puppies will float to the top as they cook.) Remove hush puppies from oil with slotted spoon; drain on paper towels.
• Place in shallow pan in warm oven to keep warm until ready to serve.

Steps:

• Set Oven to 400 degrees.
• Mix brown sugar and chilli powder together in a bowl.
• Coat your bacon with the mixture. Making sure both sides or pretty much evenly coated.
• Put your bacon in a pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Your bacon will come out crispy and sweet.

• 1. In a medium pot, preheat oil to 365°F.
• 2. In a mixing bowl, stir together cornmeal, flour, sugar, cayenne pepper, chili powder, salt, white pepper, baking powder, and baking soda. {Tip: If you prefer a smoother batter, pulse the cornmeal and flour together in a food processor before stirring in the remaining dry ingredients.} Stir in buttermilk, egg, and honey and gently whisk until no lumps remain. Fold in bacon.
• 3. Skewer 1 cocktail wiener on each toothpick. Working in small batches, dip and roll wieners in batter until fully coated and then quickly and carefully drop them, toothpick and all, into the hot oil. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
