Steps:
- Brown ground beef, then add garlic, salt and spaghetti sauce. Simmer for 30 minutes.
- While that simmers, mix together cream cheese, sour cream and onions.
- In a greased 9X13 inch pan, layer 1/3 sauce, 1/2 noodles, 1/2 cream cheese mixture, 1/2 mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with 1/3 more sauce, remaining noodles, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese and sauce.
- Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven, cover and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

ITALIAN GROUND BEEF CASSEROLE
I found something like this on the allrecipes site, but changed it slightly. The original was billed as a meatloaf, but my version is too soft to call a loaf. Bake it in a casserole dish and scoop it out with a big spoon. Delicious with parmesan sprinkled pierogies or tortellini.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350.
- Combine breadcrumbs and seasonings.
- Add eggs, ketchup and diced tomatoes. Let stand about 5 minutes.
- Add shredded cheese and ground beef. Mix gently.
- Spread in 2 litre casserole dish.
- Cover with tinfoil.
- Bake about 1 hour.

- In large skillet, brown ground beef and onion. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, parsley, garlic salt and pepper, and simmer over low heat for 3 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
- In a 2 quart casserole dish, combine noodles and meat mixture. Top with cheese slices and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

- In a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook sausage, beef, onion and green pepper until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the tomato sauce, tomato paste, water and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Add corn and olives. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in noodles. , Pour into two greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dishes. Top with cheese. - Cook and stir bacon in a Dutch oven over medium heat until browned and crisp, 5 to 10 minutes. Transfer bacon to a paper-towel lined plate and drain grease from Dutch oven.
- Cook and stir Italian sausage in Dutch oven until browned and crumbly, 5 to 10 minutes. Pour beef broth into Dutch oven and bring to a boil while scraping the browned bits of food off of the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon.
- Stir celery, onion, carrot, Italian seasoning, coriander, garlic, black pepper, and sea salt into beef broth mixture; bring to a simmer and cook until vegetables are tender and liquid is reduced, 15 to 20 minutes.
