Creamy Italian Dressing image

Steps:

  • Whisk the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, olive oil, garlic, oregano, sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper in a medium bowl. Stir in the parsley, parmesan and pecorino. Season with more salt and pepper. (The dressing will keep, refrigerated, up to 1 week.)

1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 small clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Pinch of sugar
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon grated pecorino romano cheese

  • 2. Slowly stir in the vegetable oil.
  • 3. Stir remaining ingredients.

  • Ina a saucepan, bring vinegar to a boil. Remove from heat. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.
  • Add dressing mix, then ice. Stir until the ice melts, then add oil.
  • Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
  • Shake well before serving.
