Steps:
- In a small bowl combine the egg and milk.
- In a separate bowl, combine the remaining four dry ingredients.
- Dip each piece of chicken into the milk mixture until fully moistened. Roll the moistened chicken into the flour mixture until completely coated.
- Pour the oil into the pressure fryer and heat over medium heat to about 400.
- In groups of 4 or 5, drop the chicken pieces into the oil and lock the lid into place. When the steam begins shooting through the pressure release, set the timer for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, release the pressure according to manufacturer's instruct ions, and remove the chicken to paper towels or a metal rack to drain.
- Repeat with remaining chicken.
- TIDBIT: If you prefer not to use MSG, you may substitute an additional 1/2 TBS. of salt. Be aware however that using MSG produces the best clone of KFC's fried chicken.

KENTUCKY GRILLED CHICKEN
This chicken is perfect for an outdoor summer meal, and my family thinks it's fantastic. It takes about an hour on the grill but is worth the wait. I use a new paintbrush to "mop" on the basting sauce. -Jill Evely, Wilmore, Kentucky

KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN
This recipe is from Chicago Tribune which reporter Joe Gray got from Joe Ledington, nephew of Colonel Harland Sanders. It was published on August 19, 2016. Note: The buttermilk-egg bath was an idea the testers borrowed from others and not from the purported original recipe. It is advisable to add some MSG to the mix for an authentic taste. Frying oil that is too hot will cause the breading to brown too much, overpowering the taste of the herbs and spices.

Steps:
- Mix the flour in a bowl with all the herbs and spices; set aside.
- Mix the buttermilk and egg together in a separate bowl until combined.
- Soak the chicken in the buttermilk mixture at room temperature, 20-30 minutes.
- Remove chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off.
- Dip the chicken pieces in the herb-spice-flour mixture to coat all sides, shaking off excess.
- Allow to sit on a rack over a baking sheet, 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat about 3 inches of the oil in a large Dutch oven (or similar heavy pot with high sides) over medium-high heat to 350ºF or 175ºC. (Use a deep-frying thermometer to check the temperature.).
- When temperature is reached, lower the heat to medium to maintain it at 350ºF or 175ºC.
- Fry 3 or 4 pieces at a time, being careful not to crowd the pot. Fry until medium golden brown, turning once, 15-18 minutes.
- Transfer chicken pieces to a baking sheet covered with paper towels. Allow the oil to return to temperature before adding more chicken.
- Repeat with remaining chicken.

KENTUCKY-STYLE FRIED CHICKEN
When fast-food restaurants first started, their goal was to serve good, old-fashioned, country-style home-cooking. These days, it's the reverse...home cooks try to reproduce fast-food. A recipe such as this is what Colonel Sanders wanted to mass market as good as home-cooking when he established KFC, but this old timey recipe is *nothing* like take-out food. This is NOT a copycat recipe for Colonel Harland Sanders' world-famous Kentucky Fried Chicken. If you are in the mood for take-out chicken, please pass this recipe on by. From the Southern chapter of the United States Regional Cookbook, Culinary Arts Institute of Chicago, 1947 Lovely served with griddlecakes, waffles, mashed potatoes or hominy grits. Don't forget the cream gravy! Cooking time approximate

COLONEL SANDER'S KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN
While I'm not claiming it tastes just like the KFC recipe, this is truly an AWESOME recipe for fried chicken!! My mom has been making this since I was a wee little one, and I still absolutely LOVE it! My whole family really enjoys this chicken. The ingredients are a little different, but don't let that scare you. Make it once, and you'll be hooked! Prep. time includes refrigeration time.
