MEMAW'S CHEESE BALL

My Memaw makes this recipe whenever there is a Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner or whenever our family has a get-together. I absolutely love love love it! We use Ritz crackers but you can also use veggies or tortillas or anything! Also: It takes about thirty seconds to put this together but I bumped up the prep time because the cream cheese must be softened.

Steps:

Mix together cream cheese, the drained crushed pineapple (I don't think it has enough taste if you drain it dry so I keep it kind of wet), the green pepper, dried minced onions, and seasoned salt.
Form into a ball.
Roll in pecans.

Steps:

Mix all ingredients together and form into a ball.
Serving options for buffet table: Roll in chopped pecans.
Shape into a ring and fill ring with raspberry or strawberry preserves.
Shape into a log and sprinkle with parsley and paprika.
Serve with assorted crackers.

Preheat oven to 400°. In a large bowl, whisk egg, milk, minced onion, 2 tablespoons chili powder, salt and pepper; stir in crushed crackers. Add beef, sausage and cheese; mix lightly but thoroughly., Shape mixture into 1-in. balls. Place meatballs on greased racks in 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake until browned, 15-18 minutes., Meanwhile, in a 5- or 6-qt. slow cooker, combine soup, water, brown sugar and remaining chili powder. Gently stir in meatballs. Cook, covered, on low until meatballs are cooked through, 4-5 hours.
