MRS. FIELDS CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Got this one from top secret recipes. These are always in our cookie jar. It is tempting to keep cooking these cookies because they don't seem done, but DON'T. They will continue to cook for a little while after you take them out of the oven. Crispy around the edges and soft/chewy in the center. Got milk?

MRS. FIELDS CHEWY RAISIN COOKIES

I just made these and they are so yummy! I did only use 1 cup of raisins and added 1/4 cup more of oats. I also used raisinets, instead of plain raisins, Awesome! Try them you won't be disappointed. I am leaving the baking time to the original, but mine baked up perfect in 13 minutes, it might be due to my elevation, I don't know.

MRS. FIELD'S COOKIES

As far as I know this is an authentic Mrs. Field's cookie recipe. These cookies are some of the tastiest I've ever had. They are hard on the outside, but soft and delicious on the inside. It's our family' favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe! When you take the cookies out of the oven they will seem a little softer than an average batch of cookies, but not to worry, they firm up right away. I hope you enjoy them!!

  • Combine softened butter and both sugars in a mixing bowl. Whip together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Put oatmeal into a food processor to break down into a powder. Add the "oatmeal flour" to the rest of the dry ingredients.
  • Slowly add the flour mixture (half at a time) into the sugar mixture. Blend with an electric mixer until well combined. Put the milk chocolate chips into the food processor and chop into small pieces. Using the electric mixer, add them to the dough. Now stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips with a spoon.
  • Drop golf ball sized balls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool on a wire rack for an additional 10 minutes. Enjoy!

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
  • In a small bowl, combine the flour, pumpkin pie spice, and baking soda.
  • In a medium bowl with an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, pumpkin and vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture until just combined. Stir in the white chocolate and pecans.
  • Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 to 22 minutes, or until just set. Transfer to wire racks to cool. Note: A friend said she cooked them at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes to shorten baking time, but I haven't tested that temp/time combo yet.

2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups packed dark brown sugar
1 cup solid-packed unsweetened pumpkin puree
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract (Always use pure vanilla extract. The imitation is awful.)
10 ounces white chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 cup pecan halves or 1 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped

SECRET OFFICIAL MRS. FIELD'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE (HONEST!)

This is the real recipe... I promise! I got it from a secret source and I would like to thank him/her for giving it to me. It's INCREDIBLE!! Crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. To achieve this fantastic cookie, just follow the recipe accurately by measuring (not using the cups).Oh, and don't forget to review how your cookies went! PS:(Honest feedback so maybe I can improve it? haha...) How to soften butter. Cut the stick (or sticks) or butter lengthwise into halves. This will help the butter to soften quicker and evenly. Wait approximately 10 minutes (depending upon how hot your kitchen is). Then, with a finger, press gently on the butter. If it leaves an indent in the butter, the butter is soft enough to start whipping "creaming" it. How to brown butter Start melting butter over medium heat. Use a pan with a light-colored bottom so you can keep track of the color. Swirl the pan occasionally to be sure the butter is cooking evenly. As the butter melts, it will begin to foam. The color will progress from lemony-yellow to golden-tan to, finally, a toasty-brown. Once you smell that nutty aroma, take the pan off the heat and transfer the browned butter into a heat-proof bowl to cool.
