Steps:

  • Spread chocolate-hazelnut spread on 1 side of each slice of bread. Arrange banana slices over chocolate-hazelnut spread on 2 of the slices. Place remaining slices atop bananas to form 2 sandwiches.
  • Whisk chocolate milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon together in a bowl. Dip sandwiches in milk mixture and turn as necessary to coat completely.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Cook sandwiches in hot butter until both sides are golden brown and banana and chocolate spread have softened, 4 to 6 minutes per side.

So I am putting it here for safekeeping. I made it for Christmas morning and it was really delicious. It made a huge pan, but the leftovers were good for a couple of days, cold and hot!

Nutella Banana Brunch Bake image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Coat 13x9 baking dish with 1 Tbsp butter.
  • Place remaining butter into small bowl to soften.
  • Tear bread into bite-size pieces. Place 1/2 bread into baking dish.
  • Top bread with 1/2 of the banana slices and dollops of 1/2 of the Nutella.
  • Repeat layers of bread, banana, Nutella.
  • Whisk together eggs, milk, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and vanilla. Pour mixture over bread.
  • Let stand for 15 minutes or until most of the liquid is absorbed.
  • Combine oats and 1/2 cup brown sugar and softened butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of bread mixture.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 mins until set.
  • Remove foil and bake 10-12 mins more until topping is golden. Let stand 10 mins before serving.

Steps:

  • Heat a griddle or large nonstick saute pan over medium heat. Put butter on griddle to melt (do not use all of the butter if doing this in batches), then place bread on griddle, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture, and flip; cook for a few seconds so cinnamon sugar adheres. Flip bread back over and spread with chocolate hazelnut spread. Arrange sliced bananas on top and then sprinkle with hazelnuts. Cook until just melted and then combine the slices to make 4 sandwiches. Serve warm with whole strawberries on the side.

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Beat sugar, sour cream, softened butter, and eggs together in a bowl until creamy. Add mashed bananas and vanilla extract and blend again. Add flour, baking soda, and salt and blend again until smooth and creamy. Fold in walnuts. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Remove brownies from the oven, leaving oven on. Add chocolate-hazelnut spread to the top without spreading. Return pan to the hot oven until chocolate-hazelnut spread is softened, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from oven and spread chocolate-hazelnut spread over brownies.
