HOMEMADE CREAM SODA

This homemade cream soda is a summer (and winter, spring, and fall) favorite of mine. You can use any flavor, and the amounts can be altered to your taste. Enjoy!

Homemade Cream Soda image

Steps:

  • Fill a 12-ounce tumbler about halfway with ice. Pour in seltzer water, followed by vanilla syrup. Add half-and-half and stir to blend.

  • Place 3 tablespoons chocolate syrup in each of four 16-oz. glasses. Add 1/4 cup milk and 1 cup carbonated water to each; stir until foamy. Add two scoops of ice cream to each glass. Top with whipped cream if desired.

Old Fashioned Vanilla Ice Pops (a.k.a. Pop Pops) image

Steps:

  • Pour cream soda into a bowl and whisk until no longer bubbly; set aside.
  • Heat water and sugar in a saucepan over medium high heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir sugar mixture and vanilla extract into the cream soda.
  • Pour mixture into small plastic cups or ice pop molds, then insert wooden ice pop sticks. Freeze until firm.

  • Add ice and then fill will chilled club soda; stir.
