CREAM CHEESE SAUSAGE BALLS

Sausage balls are an entertaining standby for me, but they were always admittedly a little dry - until I tried adding cream cheese, and better balls were born. I'll never go back!

Cream Cheese Sausage Balls image

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Blend sausage, baking mix, cream cheese, and Cheddar cheese together using the dough hook attachment of an electric stand mixer on very low speed until well combined, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a rimmed baking stone.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until browned and no longer pink in the centers, 22 to 25 minutes.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Combine sausage, cheese and about 2 cups of the baking mix; use hands to mix well. Gradually add in as much of the additional baking mix as possible.
  • Roll into 1 to 1 1/2 inch balls. Roll balls in any excess baking mix to coat.
  • Place on non-stick baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees. Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix with your hands until there are no dry crumbs. Form into balls about one inch in diameter and place on a baking sheet.   • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
