CHICKEN PHILLY CHEESE WRAP

This is a great tasting, more healthy version of the chicken Philly cheese steak. Quick and easy to make, everyone will love this one!

Chicken Philly Cheese Wrap image

Steps:

  • Heat medium sized skillet on medium high heat.
  • Add oil, peppers, onions, and sliced chicken. salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 5 minutes until chicken is done.
  • Add mushrooms and cook 2 more minutes.
  • Drain excess oil, pour equal sized portions into tortillas. Add half of the cheese to each.
  • Wtap tortillas burrito style and serve.

1/2 lb boneless skinless chicken breast (cut into 1-inch strips)
1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
1/2 cup sliced onion
1/4 sliced green pepper (or banana peppers)
1/4 cup canned mushroom
2 whole wheat tortillas, 10-inch
1/4 cup low-fat swiss cheese, shredded divided

I have not tried this recipe. I got it from Laura's Lean Beef. Inspired by the Philly cheese steak sandwich, this Philly Style Wrap is a great idea for dinner or lunch.

Steps:

  • In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, cook onions and mushrooms until onions are almost transparent. Stir frequently, and cover the skillet in between to retain moisture.
  • Add ground beef, salt, pepper and pepper sauce. Crumble ground beef as you brown.
  • Heat tortillas according to package instructions.
  • Divide beef mixture between tortilla shells. Top with cheese. Wrap and serve.
  • Cooking Tips: If your taste buds enjoy a little heat, add even more pepper sauce.
  • Diabetic Exchanges: 1 starch; 2 vegetable; 3 lean meat.

  • Cook and stir vegetables in hot oil in small nonstick skillet on medium-high heat 3 min. or until crisp-tender.
  • Top with ham; cook 2 min. or until heated through.
  • Place Singles on half of tortilla; top with vegetables and ham. Roll up.

Philly Firecracker Wraps image

Steps:

  • Mix sour cream, mayo, onion, horseradish, salt & pepper in a small bowl. Spread this mixture evenly over one side of each tortilla.
  • Top each tortilla with 3 slices beef, and 2 slices cheese. Sprinkle each one with lettuce.
  • Roll each tortilla tightly, and wrap each one securely in plastic wrap. Chill 8 hours.
  • To serve, slice each wrap into 2 or 3 pieces.
