My son want pizza for breakfast this morning. He found the recipe in his 4-H book but we did not have the refrigerated biscuits. So we improvised and this is what we came up with. You can add cooked ham, chopped hard cooked eggs or what ever else you want.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Unroll the crescent dough and separate the triangles along the perforated lines. Cut the triangles in half lengthwise so that you have 16 triangles.
- Overlap 2 pieces of parchment to make a 24-inch-long piece. Arrange the crescent triangles lengthwise in a long row on top of the parchment, with the pointy ends upright and the flat ends overlapping just slightly (the row should be as long as the parchment paper). Gently press the overlapping pieces of dough together so to seal.
- Spread the pizza sauce over the thickest part of the strip of dough (about 1 1/2-inches). Sprinkle the cheese over the sauce and top with a layer of pepperoni.
- Fold the pointy ends of the dough over top of the pepperoni tucking them under the dough to enclose the filling. Gently curve the top end of the dough to the left to make a candy cane shape that is the length of the back of a baking sheet. Transfer the parchment onto the back of a baking sheet. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on top of the dough. Bake until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted, 8 to 10 minutes. Tuck the basil leaves into the candy cane to make a bow. Serve with more sauce for dipping.
MEAT LOVER'S PIZZA CRESCENT RING

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cook the sausage, stirring and breaking up into pieces, in a medium skillet over medium-high heat until browned in some spots and cooked through, 6 to 7 minutes. Transfer to a medium bowl and stir in the pizza sauce. Let cool slightly, about 15 minutes.
- Coat the back of a baking sheet with cooking spray. Unroll both cans of crescent dough and separate unto 16 triangles. Put a 5-inch ramekin in the center of the prepared baking sheet. Arrange the triangles in a ring around the ramekin so the short sides of the dough are touching the ramekin, overlapping slightly, and the pointed ends are facing outward (it should look like a giant sun).
- Spoon the sausage mixture over the short ends of the triangles closest to the ramekin. Cover the sausage with the ham slices. Top the ham with the pepperoni and then cover pepperoni with cheese slices. Remove the ramekin. Take hold of the pointed end of one of the triangles and fold it up and over the filling, tucking the tip under the bottom edge of dough to secure (the dough will not cover the filling completely). Repeat with the remaining triangles (there will be some gaps where you can see the mixture).
- Bake until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 25 minutes. Brush the dough with the butter and sprinkle with the Italian seasoning. Let cool for 15 minutes. Use a spatula to slide the ring off the baking sheet onto a platter. Serve with more pizza sauce.

PIZZA CRESCENTS
My son got the idea for this recipe from a Robin Hood flyer. I can't believe it, but my family likes these better than pizza! The dough recipe is heavily borrowed from RecipeNut's Recipe #15194. We use SAMS_Club's Recipe #114392 both for the roll-ups, and for dipping. We use standard fillings inside the roll-ups: cheese blend, bacon, pepperoni - whatever you like [the flyer suggested using a slice of deli turkey, but since we didn't have any, we haven't tried this yet].

Steps:
- Stir the yeast and sugar into the warm water (110-115 degrees F) and leave to rest for 5-10 minutes. Meanwhile, measure the flour and salt into a mixing bowl. Preheat oven to minimum temperature.
- Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and knead with a dough hook for 5 minutes (you may need to add in an extra teaspoon or two of warm water to get the right consistency).
- In a deep glass or ceramic bowl, drizzle in enough olive oil to gently coat the sides and bottom. Gather the dough into a ball and roll it around the bowl to coat it with the oil. Moisten a tea towel and use it to cover the bowl. Place into the oven and turn the temperature off. Let rise for 30-40 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the SAMS_Club's Ultimate Pizza Sauce, and then the glaze by whisking together the egg, olive oil, parmesan, garlic powder, oregano and salt. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Remove the risen dough from the oven and punch it down. Again, preheat oven to minimum temperature. Re-moisten the tea towel, use it to cover the bowl, place the bowl back in the oven and turn the temperature off. Let rise for 30-40 minutes.
- Remove the risen dough from the oven and punch it down. Preheat the oven to 425°F Flour a surface and use a rolling pin (silicone is great for no-stick and you won't have to add extra flour) to roll the dough nice and thin: 1/8". Cut rectangles (say 6" x 9"), then halve them into triangles to use for the roll-ups.
- Brush on SAMS_Club's Ultimate Pizza Sauce, then add a modest quantity of your favourite toppings. Transfer the remaining sauce to a bowl for dipping.
- Roll the triangles from the narrowest side down to the long point, and pinch the ends together to form a crescent shape. Place on the parchment lined baking sheet and brush generously with the glaze.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a nice golden brown.
