PORK SUPREME

This is a delicious main dish recipe. An easy and great way to use up leftover roast pork. It's a family favorite!

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add pork and onions; cook until evenly browned. Add mushrooms and saute for 5 minutes. Remove pork and vegetables and place on a side dish.
  • Return pan to heat, add butter and stir until melted. Add flour; stir constantly until a paste forms. Slowly add milk and stir until gravy thickens. Stir in tomato sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice and salt. Return pork mixture to pan, stir and simmer until meat is tender. Serve over noodles or rice.

  • Cook pork chops in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes on each side or until browned.
  • Drain.
  • Add Onions, and remaining ingredients to skillet.
  • Cover, reduce heat to medium, and simmer 30 minutes or until meat is tender.

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Season pork chops with salt and place in large baking dish.
  • Top each pork chop with an onion slice and a lemon slice.
  • Mix brown sugar and ketchup; spoon a couple of tablespoons over each chop.
  • Cover and bake 1 hour.
  • Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer, basting occasionally.

3 lbs thick pork chops
1 onion, cut into thin slices
1 lemon, cut in thin slices
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup

Crockpot Pork Chops Supreme image

Steps:

  • coat a 6 quart crockpot with cooking oil spray for easy cleanup.
  • pour 1/2 the barbecue sauce into crockpot.
  • peel and chunk carrots and put them in the pot.
  • sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of chops and brown them in a large frying pan for 3 minutes on each side.
  • spread the rest of the barbecue sauce on each side of the chops and place them on top of the carrots.
  • prepare the stove top stuffing and after dividing it into 4 servings place one serving on each chop.
  • cook on high for 21/2 hours.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place chops in a 9x13 inch-baking dish and top each one With an onion slice and a lemon slice.
  • Mix brown sugar, ketchup, honey and vinegar.
  • Pour over seasoned pork chops.
  • Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake in the Preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove cover and bake another 30 minutes or until meat is done.
  • While baking, baste occasionally with pan juices.
