QUICK SAN CHOW BOW

Quick San Chow Bow image

Steps:

  • Heat a wok, add oil and swirl to coat then add chopped ginger. Stir fry until fragrant. Now add chopped garlic. Keep stirring else it'll burn.
  • Add pork mince [preferably in batches to prevent the mince being steamed] and stir fry until evenly brown [probably 5 mins]. Cook for another 5 minutes until pork is thoroughly cooked.
  • Stir in soy sauce, scallions, carrot, and bean shoots. Mix well, season with pepper if desired.
  • To serve, tear lettuce leaves, fill with pork.

  • Saute onions, garlic and chilli with oil in a large non-stick pan or skillet. Cook medium-high heat until onion sweats and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Push onions to the rims of the pan, add pork mince and saute for about 2 minutes on high heat or until meat is brown but not cooked through. (note 3)
  • Add carrots, beans, oyster sauce, say sauce, sugar, pepper. Mix and cook on low heat for 10 minutes, no lid.
