SAUSAGE, PEPPER AND POTATO SKILLET

Sausage, Pepper and Potato Skillet image

Steps:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the potatoes, onions and peppers, then season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook until the onions are translucent and the potatoes begin to brown, 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Stir in the kielbasa and garlic. Add the beer and mustard, then stir to combine. Cover and cook until the potatoes have softened and the sausage is heated through, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Remove the lid and stir in the kale. Cook until the kale has wilted, 5 to 6 minutes. Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed. Garnish with the herbs and serve straight from the skillet.

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound marble potatoes
1 yellow onion, sliced thin
1 orange bell pepper, sliced thin
1 green bell pepper, sliced thin
1 red bell pepper, sliced thin
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup amber beer
1 tablespoon grainy mustard
3 cups chopped kale
Fresh herbs, to garnish.

This is a great family meal. I use a little Lawry's seasoning salt on my potatoes to give em' a little kick! Love this recipe, so fast & easy!

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oil in large skillet (electric skillet is perfect) to 350* Drop in sliced potatoes and fry for 15 minutes, turning as needed Add sausage, onions and peppers and fry until potatoes are tender. Season as desired. (Garlic powder, black pepper, or even Lawry's Seasoning Salt) Top with cheese.

1 lb smoked sausage sliced in diagonal 1/4
4 medium potatoes (sliced)
1 large onion (diced)
1 large green pepper (diced)
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 1/2 c grated cheese

Steps:

  • 1. melt margerine in large skillet. Slice onion and sausage and add to skillet.
  • 2. Open canned potatoes and drain add to skillet. Add seasonings and stir.
  • 3. Cover on low heat tossing the ingredients often till potatoes start to brown lightly.
  • 4. Remove from heat and serve hot. I like to put a swirl of frenches mustard and Heinz ketchup on top before I serve.
