Steps:

  • 1. Cook sausage, drain off fat, add velveta cheese to sausage until melty, and drop by spoonfuls onto mini rye bread, and toast in oven for about 10-12 minutes on 325-350, just keep an eye on it for your own crispiness.

1 pkg mini rye bread, usually near bakery
1 small box of velvetta cheese
1 pkg bob evans roll sausage

  • Place mixture on rye bread. Place on cookie sheet.

Sausage 'n Hamburger Rounds image

Steps:

  • Line cookie sheets with wax paper or parchment paper.
  • Spread party rye slices onto the lined cookie sheets (Makes approximately 60 pieces).
  • Brown Ground Beef and Pork Sausage together.
  • While browning meat, cut up velveeta into chunks.
  • Drain grease thoroughly from meat mixture.
  • Add all other ingredients to the meat mixture and cook until the cheese melts, stirring as it cooks.
  • Remove from heat and drop mixture by spoonfuls onto the party rye slices.
  • Place cookie sheets into freezer and freeze the party rye rounds.
  • When frozen, remove from cookie sheets and slide into plastic bags returning to the freezer for later use.
  • When ready to use, take desired amount from the bag and place on cookie sheet under the broiler until brown and bubbly.
  • (Few minutes).
  • Enjoy.

1 lb lean ground beef
1 lb hot pork sausage (I use Jimmy Dean)
1 lb Velveeta cheese
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt (more if desired)
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • Brown sausage and bellpepper. Drain fat. Add cheese and melt over low heat. Allow to cool and spread with spoon on rye bread, making sure the mixture goes to the edges. Bake at 350 degrees until cheese is bubbling. These are great if you freeze them on a cookie sheet and then transfer to storage bags using wax paper to seperate them. Then you can pop as many as you need in the oven.

2 loaves of coctail rye bread
1 green bellpepper
1 roll spicy pork breakfast sausage
1 roll mild pork breakfast sausage
1 pound of velveeta
