SEA BUTTER PARTY SPREAD

This is a favorite of my family and friends. I take it to work, church, any special occasion. Very easy to make, Great taste. Hope you enjoy

Sea Butter Party Spread image

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together well. Adjust salt to taste.
  • Form into ball or place in covered dish. Refrigerate till ready to serve. Serve on snack crackers or Celery stalks.
  • Best if refrigerated over night to blend flavors.

1 package(s) imatation crab or lobster cut in 1/2 inch pieces and flaked
8-10 medium pre cooked shrimp chopped
1/2 small 0nion fine chopped
8 ounce(s) cream cheese at room temperature
8 ounce(s) margerine at room temperature
1 dash(es) salt or to taste

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first six ingredients. To serve chilled, cover and refrigerate until serving. Sprinkle with paprika., To serve warm, spoon into a greased 3-cup baking dish. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 15 minutes or until heated through. Serve with crackers or vegetables.

This recipe is from our local grocery store so the quantity will need to be adjusted to suit your needs. This recipe makes 7 1/2 lbs. This is a great appetizer for any occasion.

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients and serve with crackers.

4 1/2 lbs cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 lbs butter, softened
6 ounces onions, chopped
1 1/2 lbs imitation sea legs, chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 1/2 capfuls lemon juice
garlic salt

SOFT SPREAD BUTTER

This is a homemade margarine or soft spread 'butter'. While it is not lower in calorie, it has a higher ratio of unsaturated to saturated fat than butter, and unlike margarine, it contains no trans fat. Create a flavored butter by adding garlic or cinnamon, or anything you chose!

Soft Spread Butter image

Steps:

  • In a lidded, plastic storage container stir butter until it has a smooth, frosting-like consistency.
  • Slowly, one tablespoon at a time, stir in the first 1/2 cup of oil; mix until smooth. Stir in the remaining oil a little more quickly, mixing well.
  • Refrigerate for 3 hours, or until set.
  • Store in refrigerator. If the 'butter' melts after being left out, refrigerate to restore solidified quality.
