SLOW-COOKER FISH RECIPE

This Slow-Cooker Fish Recipe works great with flounder, tilapia, red snapper and more. This Slow-Cooker Fish Recipe is definitely the catch of the day.

Steps:

  • Reserve 2 Tbsp. onions for garnish. Combine remaining onions with cheese, mayo, lemon juice and pepper.
  • Spray 4 large sheets heavy-duty foil with cooking spray. Spread cheese mixture evenly onto both sides of fish fillets; place on prepared foil sheets. Fold to make 4 packets; place in slow cooker. Cover with lid.
  • Cook on HIGH 2 hours or until fish flakes easily with fork. Cut slits in foil to release steam before carefully opening packets. Sprinkle with reserved onions.

Healthy Crock-Pot Fish Fillet image

Steps:

  • 1. Season both sides of the fish with salt and pepper and place in the crock-pot. Place the herbs and lemon slices on top of the fish. You can also tuck some underneath the fish as well.
  • 2. Cover the crock-pot and cook on high until the fish is cooked through and no longer translucent, 30-40 minutes. The cooking time will vary according to the thickness of the fillet.
  • 3. Remove the lemon slices and to with salsa or tapenade.

1 tsp salt, or to taste
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper, or to taste
2-3 lb white fish (cod, sea bass, tilapia, or catfish), skinned
fresh herbs (parsley, basil, tarragon, savory, or a comination)
2-3 lemons, thinly sliced
