A slow-cooker makes this delicious meat sauce unbelievably easy--just add vegetables, beef, chili sauce, and seasonings, and come back later.

Steps:
- In large skillet, cook ground beef, onions, celery and bell pepper over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.
- In 3 1/2 to 4-quart slow cooker, combine ground beef mixture and all remaining ingredients except buns; mix well.
- Cover; cook on low setting for 4 to 6 hours.
- Stir; spoon beef mixture into buns.

- In a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker, combine the ground beef, garlic, celery, peppers, onions, tomato sauce, ketchup, chili powder, dry mustard, onion powder, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Mix together with a wooden spoon, making sure to break up the ground beef. Set the machine to high and cook for 4 hours.
- Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the buns to make sliders.

- Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove from skillet, drain on paper towels, crumble and set aside.
- Cut the onion into small pieces, then cook in the bacon grease until golden. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef, remove from skillet, and drain.
- Mix all remaining ingredients in a slow cooker along with the bacon, onion and ground beef.
- Cook for at least 8 hours on the lowest setting, but times will vary based on the individual slow cooker.
- Serve over hamburger buns for a good "sloppy-joe".

- Crumble ground beef and spread it out across the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Combine all remaining sloppy joe ingredients in a dish and pour over the meat. (Optionally: You can add all of the ingredients to the crock pot and stir them together later).

- Use a potato masher to crumble the beef and stir the sauce.

- Add 1 1/2 cans Sloppy Joe Mix and remaining ingredients. Cook on high 4 hours or until the chicken shreds. If you are home, turn the chicken and potatoes every hour or so if not, it is not necessary. If potatoes are not cooked you can take the chicken out and shred and continue to cook potatoes. Then return the chicken and extra sauce heat through. Serve on rolls or with crusty bread and a healthy salad.
