Strawberry Gin Recipes

Steps:

• Mix the gin with the strawberries and caster sugar in a large bowl and pour into a 1.5-litre sterilised Kilner jar.
• Store in the fridge and stir every two days for three weeks. Strain though coffee filters or muslin cloth to serve.

Steps:

• Place the strawberry basil leaves, and sugar into a cocktail shaker, and mash well with a cocktail muddler. Add half of the ice to the cocktail shaker, and place the rest into a tall glass. Pour in the gin and lemon juice, cover, and shake until the outside of the shaker has frosted. Strain into the chilled glass over the ice, top with the club soda, and stir to serve.

Steps:

• Hull the strawberries and place on a plate. Freeze until firm, at least 1 hour.
• Meanwhile, make a simple syrup: Heat 1/3 cup water and the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Let cool.
• Combine the simple syrup, frozen strawberries, 1 1/2 cups ice, the lemon juice and gin in a blender. Blend until thick and smooth.
• Pour the drink into glasses. Garnish each with a lemon twist.
