GREEN BEANS WITH ONIONS, HAM AND TOMATOES

I created this Italian inspired green beans recipe because I was tired of just plain beans. This has a hint of sweetness due to the red onions and balsamic vinegar and is certainly something different than the norm. I like to prepare this with Roast Beef and roasted potatoes.

SIMPLE GREEN BEANS WITH HAM

Green beans with amazing flavor are also super easy. This is a very simple side dish that takes its flavor from the ham used and the lengthy cooking time. If Grandma didn't have ham on hand she would substitute bacon.

HAM AND BEAN TOMATO SOUP

Erin Lembke's take on this hearty classic is a thick tomato-based soup loaded with veggies and well-seasoned with herbs. Cayenne pepper gives it some zip. "I always make up a soup recipe as I go along," Erin writes from Bothell, Washington. "My husband, who doesn't usually care much for soup, really likes this one."
