ALOHA JOES
This is a really nice change of pace from traditional sloppy joes. Recipe is from Dole.

Steps:
- 1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Crumble meat into pan and cook until no longer pink. Reduce heat to medium.
- 2. Add garlic and onion, cook until onion is soft. Drain and discard excess fat. Sprinkle meat mixture with salt and pepper Add tomato sauce, worchestershire sauce and chili powder.
- 3. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Stir in drained pineapple. Remove from heat. Spoon into buns.

- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute onion and garlic in hot oil until browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Add ground beef; cook and stir until the beef is completely browned, 7 to 10 minutes. Drain and discard grease from the skillet. Transfer beef mixture to a slow cooker.
- Stir Mexican-style hot tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, cider vinegar, and chili powder into the beef mixture.
- Cook on Low for 2 hours (or on High for 1 hour).

- Add all remaining Hawaiian BBQ Sauce ingredients and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer then reduce heat to low. Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and add additional cider vinegar for tangier or more brown sugar for sweeter if desired.
