APPLESAUCE CHOCOLATE CHIP BROWNIES

I love brownies, especially brownies that have the right blend of chocolate chips & a gooey brownie texture. This recipe was created using a combination of recipes when I didn't have any cocoa powder and was in the mood for some brownies without a lot of extra fat. The end result ---"cakey" delicious brownies

APPLESAUCE BROWNIES II - REVIEW BY MELISSA GOFF ...
While this recipe looked totally like a cake when it came out of the oven, wasn't dry, wasn't even very moist. Very bland, lacked any good "brownie" quality flavor, wasn't sweet either. While I don't mind a cake style brownie but this really, wasn't that at all. My apologies, I will not be making this again, no one cared for it at all.

APPLESAUCE AS AN EGG SUBSTITUTE FOR BROWNIES | OUR ...
Applesauce cannot act as a direct replacement for eggs in brownies. Baked goods made with this ingredient tend to be slightly denser and more moist than those made with eggs.
