Steps:
- In a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan stir together graham cracker crumbs, 3 tablespoons of the sugar and butter. Press firmly into bottom of pan.
- In large mixing bowl beat cream cheese and remaining sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Spread evenly over crumb crust.
- Slice bananas and place on top of cheese mixture. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup.
- Spoon drained pineapple over bananas. Spread Cool Whip over top. Sprinkle with pecans and cherries. Drizzle with remaining chocolate syrup.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.

- Heat oven to 400°F.
- Remove crusts from foil plates. Place one crust on top of second crust. With rolling pin, roll out into 12-inch round. Roll in 1/2-inch of edge, forming border. Prick crust generously with fork. Place on baking sheet. Bake 15 min. Cool 15 min. or until completely cool.
- Beat pudding mix and milk in large bowl with whisk 2 min.; spread over crust. Arrange banana slices on top of pudding. Microwave jam on HIGH 20 sec.; spread over pudding and bananas. Top with strawberries.
- Drizzle top with melted chocolate. Refrigerate 10 min.

With rolling pin, roll out into 14-inch round. Fold 1/2 inch of crust edge under, forming border; press to seal seam. If desired, flute edge. Prick crust generously with fork. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Spread 1/4 cup of the melted chocolate chips evenly over cooled baked crust. Spread yogurt over chocolate. Arrange banana slices on top of yogurt. Spread pie filling evenly over top. Arrange strawberries over pie filling. Drizzle remaining melted chocolate over top. Cut into wedges. Store in refrigerator.

I got this recipe form my mother-in-law. Bananas, crushed pineapple and maraschino cherries are all baked into a cake. A light, buttery frosting is applied, and the cake is cut into bars for snacking.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Make a well in the center and pour in the crushed pineapple, eggs, oil, bananas and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir in the cherries. Mix well and pour into prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Frost cake while still warm.

- In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with bananas and pineapple. - Preheat the oven to 375˚F (190˚C).
- Using an 8-inch (20-cm) round cake pan, cut a circle out from the puff pastry. Using a fork, poke holes all over the pastry to provide ventilation. Set aside.
- Cut the tops and bottoms off of the bananas, then halve 2 of the bananas crosswise and set aside.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, then add the brown sugar and cook until fully incorporated and the sauce appears amber in color, about 5 minutes.
- Add the vanilla and cinnamon. Stir until combined.
- Add the bananas to the pan and cook until softened, about 2 minutes.
- Turn the bananas to fully coat them with the caramel, then remove from the pan. Reserve the caramel.
- Grease the cake pan. Arrange the bananas on the bottom of the pan. Pour over the caramel sauce.
- Cover the bananas with the circle of puff pastry and ensure the edges are tucked into the pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden.

OK, stop looking! This is heavenly! This was served at a restaurant's holiday party by my uncle and I have been approached by the owner to give them the recipe. You have to try this simple, yet WONDERFUL, dessert. The cream mixture is what makes this different and wonderful!

- Combine MELTED butter and Graham Crackers.
- Pat in bottom of 13 x 9 x 2 pan.
- Beat eggs on high speed 4 minutes (critical of time).
- Add powdered sugar, softened butter and vanilla and beat 5 minutes more on high.
- Spread over crumbs evenly.
- Chill for 30 minutes in refrigerator.
- Spread pineapples over cream mixture.
- Arrange bananas over the pineapples.
- Cover with Cool Whip.
- Sprinkle with nuts and then place a few cherries.

TRADITIONAL BANANA SPLIT
There is some debate in our ice cream parlor what the "traditional" split consists of. I did some research before we opened and it seems that this is the most consistently "traditional" split served, even though some have marshmallow, peanuts, crushed cherries and more. Steps:
- Line up ice cream scoops next to each other in an oval deep dish or a banana boat.
- Cut the ends of the banana off (about 1/4 inch) while still in the peel.
- Slice in half longways.
- Pop each half of the banana out of the peel onto each side of the ice cream row, pressing down and in a little so it'll stay put.
- Top the vanilla ice cream with the pineapple, the chocolate with the chocolate syrup and the strawberry with the strawberry sauce.
- Spoon the wet walnuts over all three scoops of ice cream.
- Top each scoop with some whipped cream and a cherry for each.

- Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans. In large bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
- In large bowl, beat butter, shortening and sugar with electric mixer on medium speed about 3 minutes or until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in vanilla. Beat in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk. Continue beating on medium speed 1 minute, scraping bowl constantly.
- Divide batter among 3 bowls (about 2 1/2 cups each). Stir 2 tablespoons of the strawberry topping and 3 drops of the red food color into batter in one bowl. Stir 2 tablespoons of the pineapple topping and 3 drops of the yellow food color into batter in second bowl. In small bowl, mix cocoa and hot water; stir into batter in third bowl. Pour batters into separate pans.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
- In medium bowl, mix whipped topping and pudding mix until well blended. Place strawberry cake layer on serving plate; spread with remaining 2 tablespoons strawberry topping. Top with layer of banana slices; spread with 3/4 cup frosting. Top with chocolate cake layer; spread with remaining 2 tablespoons pineapple topping. Top with layer of banana slices; spread with 3/4 cup frosting. Top with pineapple cake layer. Frost side and top of cake with remaining frosting. Drizzle with chocolate topping. - Crust:
- Process cookies in food processor until fine crumbs form.
- Add butter; pulse to blend. Using bottom of a small measuring cup, press evenly over bottom and up sides of tart pan.

- Preheat oven's broiler to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Chill a mixing bowl, beaters from electric mixer, and cream in the freezer for 10 minutes. Arrange pie crusts on a baking sheet.

- Preheat the oven to 350°. In a bowl, combine the cookie crumbs and cinnamon. Stir in the melted butters. Press the crumbs into an 8-inch pie plate and bake for about 6 minutes, until golden. Let cool.
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar with 1/2 cup of water and boil for 1 minute. Off the heat, stir in the chocolate and the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter until melted. Stir in the vanilla and cool.
- On a baking sheet, toast the coconut and almonds for about 5 minutes, or until golden. Scoop the ice cream into the pie shell and drizzle on some of the chocolate sauce.
