No more dry, lackluster burgers. These are juicy, and spices can be easily added or changed to suit anyone's taste. Baste frequently with your favorite barbeque sauce. If you find the meat mixture too mushy, just add more bread crumbs until it forms patties that hold their shape.

- Preheat a grill for high heat.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, cheese, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, egg, onion soup mix, garlic, garlic powder, parsley, basil, oregano, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.

- Mix all ingredients.
- Shape into 4 patties, about 3 1/2 inches in diameter.
- Place in square baking dish 8 x 8 x 2-inches.
- If desired, brush each patty with additional catsup.
- Cover loosely and microwave on high (100%) 5 minutes; turn dish one-quarter turn.
- Microwave until done, 2 to 3 minutes.
- ALTERNATE COOKING METHOD: Grill to desired doneness.

I got these from Ina Garten on FoodNetwork. They are so good cooked on the grill, but could also be broiled. BEWARE: these have plenty of fat--not for the faint of heart!LOL

- Mix meats, steak sauce, egg yolks, salt and pepper with fork (do not over-work).
- Form mixture into 12 balls.
- Put a thin slice of butter in the middle of each ball, then flatten into patties (make sure butter is completely surrounded by meat).

My husband prepares these burgers throughout the grilling season--they are incredibly juicy and flavorful. Great served with corn on the cob.

- Shape the ground beef into three patties. Place the patties in a shallow dish.
- Combine the beer, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion salt, and pepper. Pour the marinade over the burgers. Refrigerate for 15 minutes. Flip the burgers over and marinate for an additional 15 minutes.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grate.
- Place the patties on the hot grill and cook for 2 minutes before flipping them over. Cook the burgers to the desired degree of doneness, about 5 minutes per side for well done. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

GREAT HAMBURGER PATTIES
I bet I have tried close to a hundred different variations of hamburgers. DH likes things pretty plain (as in only cheese and ketchup on his burger) so our patties have to have enough flavor to stand up (almost) on their own. I like that they've got good flavor but aren't too much to detract from the rest of the stuff on my burger (I happen to be the exact opposite of DH!).

- Combine everything but meat in a large bowl.
- After it is mixed well, add in meat and make sure it all gets mixed together very well. I use my hands as it's easier to get it mixed.

Shape them just slightly larger than the buns you plan to use, to account for shrinkage during cooking. Set the patties on the baking sheet. Use a spoon to press a dent in the center of each patty so they don't puff up as they cook. If you need to stack the patties separate them with a sheet of wax paper.
