PORK TENDERLOIN WITH HONEYED BUTTER

Pork tenderloin is juicier than most other cuts of pork and is quick-cooking and lean. Browning the meat in butter and honey before roasting gives it a hint of sweetness.

Pork Tenderloin With Honeyed Butter image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a Dutch oven or ovenproof skillet, heat butter and honey over medium heat, stirring to melt butter. Season pork with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and place in pan. Cook until underside is lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Turn pork, and cook until other side is browned, about 5 minutes more. Lower the heat if the honey begins to burn.
  • Put pan in the oven, and roast until pork is just cooked through, 7 to 10 minutes. Transfer pork to a plate.
  • Add water to the pan, and stir over medium heat to scrape up all the browned bits. Add any accumulated pork juices from the plate, and simmer until sauce is reduced to about 1/2 cup. Slice pork on the diagonal, and serve drizzled with sauce.

4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 pounds pork tenderloin, trimmed of silver skin
Coarse salt and ground pepper
1/4 cup water

BONNIE'S PORK TENDERLOINS WITH HONEY AND BUTTER image

Steps:

  • 1. Melt the butter in a pan large enough for the tenderloins. Add the honey. Season the tenderloins with salt and pepper to taste. Brown the tenderloins with a good sear, just like the picture. Be sure you don't burn the butter, watch it closely. Turn the tenderloins over and brown on both sides. Don't be afraid to let them get really brown, they will soften up as you bake them in the oven. This will take around 20 minutes.
  • 2. Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees. Grease an 8 X 11 baking dish. Transfer the browned tenderloins to the dish, and all the honey, butter drippings, pour over the top of the tenderloins. Bake in the oven around 30 to 40 minutes until meat is no longer pink in the center. Some may prefer it slightly rare.
  • 3. Remove the tenderloins to a platter and allow to rest tented with foil for at least 5 minutes. While doing that, transfer drippings from the baking dish back to the skillet and reduce for a glaze.
  • 4. To serve, slice tenderloin 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick and drizzle glaze over the tenderloins and serve.

Season the pork with salt and pepper and place in pan. Cook until lightly browned on all sides, about 10 minutes. Reduce heat if honey begins to burn. Transfer to oven, and roast until pork is cooked to 145 degrees, 12 to 15 minutes. Transfer pork to a plate. Add water to pan, and place on stove over medium heat, cook stirring with a wooden spoon to scrape up all the browned bits. Add any accumulated pork juices from the plate, and simmer until sauce is reduced to about 1/2 cup. Slice pork on the diagonal, and serve drizzled with the sauce.

  • Preheat oven to 375.

Honey Glazed Pork Tenderloin image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and balsamic vinegar.
  • Place the pork tenderloins in a roasting pan, and roast 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
