CHEDDARWURST® AND APPLE KABOB
A sweet and tangy apricot and mustard sauce creates a delicious glaze for grilled cheesy sausage and apple kabobs.

Steps:
- Cut each sausage into 3 pieces. Thread sausage, apples, peppers and onion onto 6 skewers, leaving a small space between each item.
- Melt apricot preserves in small saucepan over low heat. Add mustard, mixing until well blended.
- Grill kabobs over medium heat, turning frequently for 10 minutes. Brush kabobs with apricot preserves mixture and grill 2 minutes longer, or until apple and vegetables are crisp-tender.

CHEDDAR APPLE NUT BREAD
Pure comfort food! Wonderful addition to a large breakfast or brunch. Delicious anytime. Best when served warm. Note the recipe calls for sharp cheddar but medium or mild cheddar could be used. Do not use American cheese or processed cheese food, such as Velveeta, because they will not work in this recipe.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Grease and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan or spray it with cooking spray.
- In large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
- Add beaten eggs, milk and margarine; mix well.
- Stir in cheese, apples and pecans.
- Mixture will be fairly thick; spoon into loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 60- 70 minutes or until it tests done with wooden pick inserted in center.
- Remove from oven and let stand for about 5 minutes.
- Invert and remove loaf from pan.
APPLE HALIBUT KABOBS

- In a large bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Pour half into a large resealable plastic bag; add halibut. Seal bag and turn to coat. , Pour remaining marinade into another large resealable plastic bag; add the onion, apple and red pepper. Seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate fish and apple mixture for 4-6 hours, turning occasionally., Drain fish, discarding marinade. Drain fruit and vegetables, reserving marinade for basting. On eight metal or soaked wooden skewers, alternately thread the fish, onion, apple and red pepper. , Using long-handled tongs, moisten a paper towel with cooking oil and lightly coat the grill rack. Grill kabobs, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 6-10 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork and fruit and vegetables are tender, turning and basting frequently with reserved marinade.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon walnuts, apples, and cheese. Add the eggs, melted butter or margarine, and milk; stir until well blended. Pour into prepared loaf pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until done. If loaf starts to brown too much, cover with foil.

- Combine the self-rising flour, sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl and mix well. Stir in the walnuts.
- Combine the chopped apples, butter, cheese, milk, and eggs in a medium bowl and mix well.
- Add the apple mixture to the flour mixture and stir until combined (batter will be lumpy).
- Pour batter into a greased and floured 5x9 loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes. Cover loaf with foil during the last 15 minutes if necessary to prevent overbrowning. Invert onto a wire rack to cool.
